Had IQ for a couple of months now. Don't know how we lived without the recording and loop functions. The rewind function also seems to get a good run aswell. Could never go back to just free to air. I give it :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

How much do you want to spend and what do you like watching?

PDF containing new Foxtel packages... you should check the TV guide on the Foxtel site to see how much you would be interested in viewing.

I got it recently mainly because of the new sport HD channels coming, making a grand total of 4... plus having Discovery, National Geographic, Fox 8 and mulitple movie channels also in HD is great too. Scary how quickly you can get used to viewing HD, almost to the point where SD becomes annoying.

Highly recommend getting an IQ2... you can record 2 programs whilst watching a third live (still able to pause and rewind live feed).

The feature I like the most is being able to remotely record shows from work. The interactive guide on the Foxtel site is much more detailed than the guide on the IQ2 so this is actually my preferred option of setting up what shows to record, and which shows for the IQ to remind me to watch.

Love it!...We have most of the packages, but we just got it on for an Aunt of mine, and for her we got the basic + knowledge and adventure packages......that will give her the races, lifestyle and all documentry channels which she prefers.....those 2 packages will be $58 mnth....well worth it tho...ours costs a helluva lot more than that..

Wouldn't be without it....those who say they've had it and cancelled, can't have many interests..

Have had Fox/Austar for the past 5 years or so and would never want to get rid of it. We have 'The Works' with Austar which is just over $100 a month. Dunno how people say theres never anything to watch.

put me down as one of those, we have plenty of interests that involve the outdoors instead of being glued to the tv and remote while parked on the couch all day getting fat. and we don't choose the tv as a babysitter for our kids either.
once the kids got too old for nick jr and nickelodeon we gave it the arse.
in hindsight, your last sentence was probably a poor choice of words considering the childhood obesity situation these days.

here here

its all about fast forwarding through ads, the amount of times i have been watching something live, an ad comes on and i try and fast forward the live ads is ridiculous

I got it 2 months ago :) it is one ofhe best things i did.

I got a $40 basic package plus $16 for sport. THey gave me IQ for free. I negotiated to get the first 2 months of sport for free.

Its great. U wont regret it.
The sport is awesome but also the other tv shows :) some classics

I used to watch it all the time!!! but it started to get very repetitive.

During the footy season I watch all the AFL shows and games.

Last weekend I watched it for the 1st time since Round 22 :(

We've has it since I was 10 - You should have seen how cheap it was when it first came out!!!

I love it, and I love it even more since they put The Practice on daily. Only one series ever made it onto DVD, so there's a lot I missed that I can now record, and watch at my leisure. I just wish they would resurrect the Fox Footy channel, at least in some form or another.

Don't want it, unless they bring out a package where you only have to pay for AFL games during the season, don't want to pay for all the other crap.

I apparentely didn't put my point across correctly......I was meaning if you happen to be sitting in front of tv, you have Foxtel, and can't find something of interest on it with all those channels, then IMO that person isn't interested in too much else...

Nothing whatsoever about obesity or parking kids in front of telly instead of getting outside, or what peoples outside interests may be.....I'm all for everyone being out doing things instead of watching tv all the time..

As people get older, like we are, no kids at home, they are not out and about much anymore, so its great to have Foxtel and all its many choices..

I agree
I would pay one off $10 pay per view, if I wanted to watch the Hawks if they weren't on FTA but not paying $600 a year to watch all the other crap, I have already seen or not interested in seeing.

having it will be good for holidays and when your sick or something. i have everything but the movies. you can usually find somehthing to watch all the time.

Yep, another one who cant live without it. Go away for a week or something and it just sucks watching free to air.

But trust me, once you get it you can never go back.
