Sounds like Fraser gets another reprieve from MM for his pathetic start to the year and rewarded with an Anzac game -- those busting their G--ts to break into the side must be wondering what they have to do - when it appears he could probably float thru the year and not get another touch and still be named!!! :thumbsd: MM TAKE OFF YOUR ROSE COLOURED GLASSES

MM has his Favourites and Fraser is Defintally 1 and I can understand why because he was his 1st Draft Pick when he came in at Pick Number 1 overall

Fraser is playiong because he replacement ruckman is still finding form after only returning from injury last week.

Extract your head from your asses, its not about draft pick number, not about favorites, his replacment has only just returned from injury, get over it

Can't help but agree. It's a disgrace that Fraser is being allowed to keep his spot on the back of his performances this year. He got a free kick and dribbled the ball out of bounds under absolutely no pressure for gods sake, it's not a case of him having to get used to his new role he's just been horrible.

Okay Might be Wrong about Draft Picks but I think Fraser is 1 of MM Favourites:rolleyes:

Why does he need to be replaced with another ruckman. I can say completely seriously that Leigh Brown would've done a better job in the ruck than Fraser so far this year. Play Blair as a ruck and you will not see a huge loss of hitouts.

If he's not doing his job then replace him with someone who can contribute in any way shape or form at all because at the moment we've had 17 players on the field whenever Frasers on there.

Yeah and wood and blight are your favourites

Every one from coaches to fans have them

Yeah, damn Fraser, and damn Malthouse, how can our 2nd ruckman be playing consistently in the seniors when we have the likes of Keefe and MacNamara to replace him.:p

Seriously, come back and start this thread again in 3 weeks when Wood has some "miles in his legs".:thumbsd:

Hmm leigh brown rucking again

I like leroy, but yeah that hasnt worked well ever, even the second time we played essendon Fraser had 36 hitouts, Leroy was out rucked by cale hooker

True but I don't want the to play if they are way out of form like Fraser is

O.o

Dave you were calling for both to be selected when they werent even named in the VFL best last year

your favourite is Dawes by a mile, that is why you want Fraser dropped.

If Dawes gets in it will be because of injury or soreness, cannot see him getting a game in place of Fraser or Brown at the moment

Well you should not Hate Dawes and have your Crush on Leroy or Fraser get in your way

Dawes can ruck, and did better at it than Leigh Brown in his 2 brief rucking stints.

I don't agree that Fraser's down on form actually - when he's been in the ruck he's been okish as usual. It's just he's bloody hopeless as a forward, which has nothing to do with form, but more the fact that he's a slow timid 200cm player who can't mark overhead.

If Fraser were to ruck close to 50%, I think it'd be worthwhile keeping him in the team. Right now, he's rucking maybe 25-30%. It's just not enough to justify keeping him in the team over an actual forward.

Exactly what I said he is one of MM's favourite's and no matter how poor he performs - he has MM saying he has time to come good and reassuring him of a place in the senior side while he learns a new role of kicking for goal !!!!! WHAT A JOKE !!!!--- Wood wont be flapping his wings for to long I wouldn't think with the GC shopping around --

I'd like to see Dawes in over Fraser. He'd provide more up forward and if my memory serves me correctly he can at least compete in the ruck.

I got a sneaking suspicion that Josh will bounce back to form this week
and make some of you pessimists eat your words
Might even put some had earned on him for the Anzac Medal

Bingo. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that Fraser provides better than Dawes.

People seem to be saying that we must have 2 recognised ruckmen, but if Fraser isn't actually rucking well, what is the point? We need him in because he's a ruck, but his ruckwork is worse than Leigh Browns? AND he provides less around the ground? What?

I've got nothing against Fraser, when I heard he was getting ready for a CHF type role this year I was pretty excited since he's played some good footy up there. But he has been nothing short of disappointing this year and I can't see how anyone can justify him keeping his spot over some of the players performing well in the VFL. Maybe Dawes won't ruck as well (Hah, yeah right), but if he kicks a goal, just one, he's already providing far more than Fraser does.

Fraser will be playing head to head against Winderlich this week, will start on him on the wing but will follow him into the midfield if need be.

Fraser was getting monstered by Brent Renouf. OKish is being fairly generous to him.

It's possible Winderlich will be laughing too hard to play, so that match up may work in our favour.
