Probably played his best game for us against Geelong.
He is really starting to find his feet in the AFL, his contest defence work is first rate and now he is giving us some run of half back.

His frame has matured really nicely and he is a big lad that can play on those medium sized forwards that can sometimes give us trouble.

Really liking this kid and will enjoy watching him grow into a great player for the MFC. :thumbsu:

Im really excited about this kid. Has anyone noticed how massive he is? Ive actually stood next to him and he is a monster of a man, im not exactly small either im 6'3 and he was a bit taller than me. but built like a brick shit house.

Um I think you mean a brick hit house.

He's gone from our 5th choice defender to our most in-form defender within the space of a few weeks. Gonna be tough at the selection table when Garland returns. Will Martin be groomed as a forward, or was that just a one-off on Sunday?

personally i hope he stays down back especially with Garland out, we need that lankiness. what about Frawley as a forward?

So he begins making his name as a defender and all of a sudden you want to throw him forward? Would make for an extremely silly move.

Always knew he would be a goer from his first practice match at optus oval against the tigers. He grabbed the ball on a few occasions and took a run down the corridor.

As our only pre-season win in Melbourne for 3 years I'm not surprised you have good memories of the day

took a punt and selected him in my Dream Team this year and has scored 70 every week.

Seems to be really finding his feet and his long kicking off the half back is looking much better!

go chip!:thumbsu:

Disagree MB, i reckon you play them on the best match-ups.

With Warnock and Martin showing a lot of promise, I am happy to see Frawley and Garland's speed and athleticism allow them to play on quicker, more agile types.

Whatever match-ups suit best i reckon.

Another classic example of why we shouldn't be writing off players too soon. There were plenty on here calling for him to be delisted at the end of last year...same happened with Garland after a couple of his earlier games.

We can't afford to judge these kids too early, we have to remember they are playing in an ordinary team, it would be much easier on them if they were debuting in a team like Geelong.

It's great to have a backline after not having one for such a long time!

Now we just need a midfield and forward line

Not a lot of pace there. Most sides have 2 small forwards these days, dont think frawly or garland could cover a small quick forward.

Frawley would be as quick as most small forwards. Plus Bennell might play there sometimes (Though I think his skills would be suited further up the ground).

dont get too excited about frawley, In his home town of ballarat everyone says he got picked for his name, there was a good 5-6 players at north better than him that didnt even get looked at. He is a hack and always will be. Also i no im going to get blasted but revise this post in about 2 seasons away when he is forgotten :)

He got picked for his name that you can't even spell right?

Funny post, Frawley will be dominating forwards in the coming years.

Back to your hole.

Ha Ha if i was to be drafted it would of been along time before him and never would of happened anyway. He is a good bloke but i think he will get way over rated and will not be playin in 3-4 years time

I hope no Sivart. Sorry but the best teams all have great run out of defence. In that team, only Frawley and Bartram provide any. I'd prefer Cheney instead of Bartram (Bartram on the bench or midfield)

I was gonna hit back s******ing at the Bulldogs' lack of key position talent, but then couldn't really be bothered.....
