Given it’s been almost 6 days since the story was leaked it does suggest it was leaked prematurely - and probably not by the Club or Orazios team because they clearly haven’t agreed to final terms. Perhaps by the other two clubs that were trying to sign him - Port and the Giants. In any case now that he’s been delisted his choices are sign with Carlton or rookie with Port or Giants for a year. So still likely to come to us.

Yes, they have taken some risks and dare, but I love the recruitment of EHollands and Orazio - for this stage of of list.
These last two moves have changed my attitude towards this Trade period :D

Now finish off the job and get us some good young talent via the draft
Tholstrup would be a dream - but, I trust your assessments and decisions - just get it done!

And when you think a bit more laterally, with our 2023 2nd and 3rd round picks we brought in Cowan and Acres. We just brought them in a year early.

So technically, in 2023 we've brought in Cowan, Acres, Elijah, Fantasia, Duffy, Monahan - and still have a 1st and 2nd round pick going into the draft....AND we still have our 2024 1st and 2nd round picks to bid on the Campo twins.

I dips me lid to Cook, Austin and his list management crew.

No guarantees on the role the Campo boys are playing, though likely at least one to take a crack at the wing.

Williams & Saad are 29, Docherty and Newman are 30, Acres is 28. Over at HF, Cuningham, Fogarty, and Fantastia have injury histories that will likely repeat themselves. Cottrell is completely at sea anywhere other than a deep forward role pushing up.

Ollie may move into the stoppage, while I'm increasingly confident that Binns will in order to be a decent chance at AFL level. Someone like Sharp gives cover today in a finals push along the same lines as Markov and cover for any failed development, but we'd have to cut a player to make it happen.

Despite our desperate need for elite speed/endurance mixes, I'm far more disappointed with the Durdin re-signing.

Durdin is cheap cover for Weiters who is basically our only proper (plays tall) AFL key defender.
