A bit of trivia though! It has been correctly pointed out if a player kicks around a goal post after a mark or free kick and goes behind the line, it will be a point.

But does anyone know what will happen if a player kicks it straight into the goal or behind post(from behind the line)? 10 points for correct answer....

I would have thought point post out on the full and goal post point?

Agree with the logic behind out on the full but sense a trap with an opposition player getting the same result hitting the goal post as kicking through the goals.

I would suspect they get to take their kick again as the ball hasn't entered the field of play
 
I think if an untouched kicked ball hits a post and moves back into the field of play it should be play on and mark-able. Similarly for a handball or a ball touched off the boot minus the mark-ability.

Apart from the obvious bit of extra excitement, it would be another small encouragement to teams to move at least one player a little closer to goal a little sooner than happens currently.
