we haven't heard anything of david parkin so hope we get one of the other people

I would like to see Charlesworth get the job.

He is a great guy and It would be interesting to see how much he knows about footy and how he copes.

It would be great for AFL in general.

Ok, back to the topic, I think whatever club gets Ric's services will be fairly lucky - his record speaks for itself:

Coach for the Hockeyroos from 1993-2000, during that time they won: Olympic Gold in 1996 and 2000, World Cup Gold in 1994 and 1998, Champions Trophy in 1993, 1995, 1997 and Commonwealth Games gold in 1998.

Eagles, Freo and Essendon are the 3 clubs which seem to be vying for his services - I personally cant see him leaving WA.

dockerbabe - you also mentioned David Parkin. I read that although he was offered to do a degree or lecture at Notre Dame University - he has declined the move west.
