Hasleby, a four-time Ross Glendinning Medallist, and key defender Chris Tarrant both face fitness tests ahead of the cross-town grudge match.


Tarrant jarred his knee in the 15-point loss to the Lions, and Harvey said the demands of the wet and windy conditions had taken a toll on Hasleby.

"We'd like to think [Tarrant] would get up, but it's an interesting injury – I haven't come across it too many times before – so we'll test him on Friday," he said.
"He's 60-40. But that's there to be shot down because you don't really know until the next 48 hours.
"There's nothing structurally too much wrong, but sometimes it can just drag on."

lmfao, you have got to be joking .............. Yeah they announced they were going to see a specialist on what, a Monday, then did it ON A FRIDAY, so it was obvious that, no matter the verdict, they would have a good excuse as to not play in the derby ..............

freo are the unfittest, most poorly prepared team in the league. they've never had a good pre-season or start to a season. they are the worst coached and have the worst coach in the league. they have the worst list, with the worst development prospects, developing at a worse rate than the other 15 teams in the league. they have the worst team culture in the league and the worst personnel employed to attempt to change the culture. fremantle only ever focuses on two games per year and is the worst-equipped club to ever actually try to make the finals or win a premiership. they're in the elite competition of the nation but probably not even in the top 50 australian rules football clubs in australia.

and yet, they're still able to deliberately not pick the best players available and tank in order to enhance their prospects of losing.
