Agree with that. I think we suffered from that in 2014. Sides figured us out. Worked in our favour the start of this year though I think. Sides expected us to play similar to 2013 and 2014 and were thrown by our tactics. Then one loss to Richmond and we reverted and the rest is history.

If WC play a similar style next year as this one I can see them dropping a few more games.

Please Keyser Soze - I've made my own call ...you appear to have counted who you play twice.

6 day breaks (back to backs) are extremely hard on the WA teams when you factor in travel.

In 2015 you had 7 back to backs - with only 1 consecutive back to back ...the back end of these 6 day breaks was -
Carlton, GWS, Gold Coast, Essendon, Richmond, Gold Coast & St Kilda ...the consecutive was Essendon/Richmond.

You are far more likely to get by a lesser opposition in that 2nd game.

In 2016 you have 8 back to backs with 2 consecutive back to backs ...the back end of these are -
Fremantle, Richmond, Geelong, Port, Adelaide, Melb, GWS & Hawks ...consecutive being Freo/Rich (following the Hawks) & GWS/Hawks (following Freo)

That is already a significantly tougher deal, using the 2015 ladder ...it's one thing to beat a bottom 8 side on the back end (6/7 missed the 8 in 2015) versus next year when you face 4 top 8 teams from 2015 and let's face it - Geelong and Port are both likely to be improved.

I also factor in 2016 you have the likes of single games against Geelong (Skilled) and Sydney (SCG) both of which were at Subi in 15 ......both of these clubs (likely direct competitors for top 4) are going to be much tougher at these venues than Subi. It is swings and roundabouts to a degree but when I think of teams I would rather play at Subi than at home - personally I'd rate them 1. Hawks 2. Sydney (esp SCG) 3. Geelong (esp SS).

Finally I think your start is going to be really challenging - start slowly in 2016 (face Hawks, Freo, Tigers, Sydney, C'Wood & Cats inside the first 8 rounds) and it could be a battle for 8th not top spot.

This was my thinking Keyse, agree or disagree ....I know your club (like ours) focus on 6 days breaks and the challenges it brings with it ........but simpleton .....really? I think I've considered your draw more closely than you TBH.

If you finish top 2 with the 2016 draw you've been handed ....then you'll be legit, it is a significantly tougher draw and as I said - your midfield and runners are going to have to stand up.

+ all the saints players except for Luke Ball, who left due to not getting game time anyway ergo he wasn't playing under ross.

Harley Bennell picked us over richmond after meeting with Ross 3 or so times, he may qualify as a "good player" (excludes good behaviour)

West Coast won't have a stronger midfield. Still full of softies as Hawthorn brutally exposed.

West Coast had the lowest tackle count in GFs since 2004. And back then the average tackles per game were much lower.

Most bruise free GF ever.

Jack Redden is not a soft player, and is a tackling machine. Will slot in nicely into our midfield and improve it.

Ross has been in charge of EVERYTHING at every club he's coached.

That will remain the case until he wins a flag, at which time the club will finally have realised and taken greater control (prior to the start of that season of course).

Fremantle are no chance of the premiership next year. The only chance they had was recruiting McCarthy and it will be sad to see Pavlich go around next year, he should have retired.

It was ross mate. He asked for what he wanted and he got it. Club had to bring in pelchen and ameet to sort out his mess

Well, that's where you went wrong, if that's true. He's obviously rubbish at managing money so I doubt we'd let him do it at Freo.

Sounds like Ross was a victim of the poor organisational hierarchy at St Kilda. Must have been a relief to move to a club that wasn't run like a Sunday ammos team.

That's how I saw it as well. It was about 2008/2009 that we started doing things right - we just had a bit of a dudd as our head coach. We cleaned out pretty much the whole list between 2008-2010/11 before we appointed Ross (excluding our better required players). As well as the Steve's coming on-board in that time.

Also the re branding of the club was a huge step in the right direction. On that note, I'm looking forward to seeing the wings more often on your boys!
