Just making it known that I saw the Hawks/Pies game advertised to be starting at 5:30pm on 7 in Perth.

Hopefully all finals are live now. I'm still seriously flabbergasted that Friday night is live. I cannot ever recall a live FTA game outside of the weekend in WA. Maybe the 2005 QF? Can't remember if that was delayed or not (pretty sure it was, but could be wrong).

When I lived in WA years ago I met people like this on occasion.

Was raging on the inside that they preferred to watch the whole match pumped with ads after it had finished rather than miss the first X minutes and see the rest live.

Agreed. Although I must admit, being a parent of youngins, it's nice to get them sorted and in bed and then sit down and "hey, footballs on".

Still, in this day and age, you can record it and watch it on delay anyway, so anyone who complains about a game being live gets no sympathy from me. I'll be busy ignoring my kids while the game is on.
