I have done a few draft so far but i have finally hit my final one. Please tell me your thoughts.:D

Round 1
1. Melbourne- Jack Watts- No surprise here. Melbourne take an athletic freak who one day will be an amazing player. He will be there next CHF for years to come.

2. West Coast Eagles- Nic Natuani- Wow! This kid may be a risk but at worst he will solid key defender. At best he will be better than Buddy! This guy has everything the perfect afl player needs.

3. Fremantle- Daniel Rich- Probably the most talented player in the draft, this kid is an absolute star. Although Freo might have wanted Nic Nat to drop to them they get a gun midfielder.

4. Port Adelaide- Tyrone Vickery- This guy is a star ruckman. He is probably the next best player after top 3. Tyrone Vickery is the perfect replacement for Lade and Brogan who are nearing the end of their careers.

5. Essendon- Stephen Hill- The first main surprise of the draft. The bombers take a tagger who has the x-factor. I think that he will be a great pick up for the bombers.

6. Carlton- Michael Hurley- The Blues rebuilding is now complete. They get a very reliable back and the premiership window is open to them for the next 5 years. Michael Hurley is an excellent pick up for the men down at Princess Park.

7. Brisbane Lions- Chris Yarren- The Lions decide to get small forward who will be an excellent crumber for Brown and Bradshaw. His work ethis has been questioned, but personally I believe he will step up to the plate at AFL level.

8. Richmond- Shaun Mckernan- Richmond get a very underated key forward in Mckernan. Richmond look very good and I think that Mckernan will be in there starting lineup from round 1.

9. North Melbourne- Tom Swift- The kangas take the risk and go for swift. He is has a massive injury cloud over him but with good management he will be a star in blue and white.

10. Adelaide- Steele Sidebottom- I know that I am going to cut a lot for not having ziebell, hartlett or Sidebottom in the top 9 but I think that with the Gold Coast coming in teams will want to take risks on players that could be future stars. Adelaide get an absolute star in Steele Sidebottom. He is ball magnet and can kick a goal or ten! Perfect replacement for Simon Goodwin.

11. Collingwood- Hamish Hartlett- Collingwood get an in and under player. He is exactly what the pies need and there midfield is looking very strong now.

12. Sydney- Jack Ziebell- The swans get a major slider in Ziebell. He is a tallish midfield who reminds me a bit of Adam Goodes. The swans need a lot of replacements for their ageing list and ziebell is a good place to start.

13. St Kilda- Jackson Trengove- St Kilda get a key player who can play CHF,CHB or in the ruck. Trengove is a star and will complement riewoldt and kozi very well. The saints have now finished rebuilding their talls.

14. Western Bulldogs (Ayce Cordy – Father/Son)

15. Geelong- Lewis Johnston- Geelong will be annoyed that Swift was taken at Pick 9, but they still get a star in Johnston. Johnston is the key forward Geelong need and he is a very good kick and strike of the ball.

16. Hawthorn- Sam Blease- The Hawks pick the best available in Sam Blease. Blease is a strong outside midfielder who will provide pace along with Batemen and Rioli. Those three will be extremely dangerous.

Priority picks

17. Melbourne- Jordan Roughead- Melbourne go tall again and pick up an athletic ruckmen. He is project player, but once his potential is unleashed he will be dangerous.

18. West Coast Eagles- Michael Walters- After going tall, The eagles get a very solid midfielder in Michael Walters. West Coast’s midfield will be very dangerous in the future.

Round 2
19. Melbourne- James Strauss- After going tall with their first two picks, Melbourne get a very reliable midfielder in Strauss.

20. West Coast Eagles- Mitch Robinson- The Eagles strengthen there midfield and get a very good player in Robinson.

21. Fremantle- Neville Jetta- After the departure of the wizard, Freo grab a new wizard in Jetta. This guy is an excitement machine. Once he is disciplined he will be a star.

22. Port Adelaide- Rhys O'Keefe- Port get a very solid midfielder in Rhys O’Keefe. I was thinking about putting him in the first round but ithink Port is the perfect home for him.

23. Essendon- Ryan Schoenmakers- Essendon get an up and coming CHF who will be the perfect replacement for Lucas and Lloyd. He will team up with Gumbleton to make their forward line very dangerous.

24. Fremantle- Matthew Broadbent- Freo get a backman/Tall mid who is a very reliable player. He is a very good 1:1 player.

25. Brisbane Lions- Jordan Lisle- Brisbane get a tall to strengthen there tall timber. Lisle is a very good pickup at pick 25.

26. Richmond- Nick Suban- Extremely underated on Big Footy. This guy will be star one day once some of his skills are addressed.

27. North Melbourne- Ashley Smith- He is a bit of a slider in my opinion. Some think this kid will go first round or priorities but I think that the Kangas are a good home for this young gun.

28. Adelaide- Phil Davis- Some people have no idea who he is others think he is the next Matthew Scarlett. He is solid key backmen who once builds up his strength a bit will be a very good player.

29. Collingwood- David Zaharakis- Collingwood grab a star midfielder and surpise many by not taking Cornelious.

30. Sydney- Aaron Cornelious- Probably the biggest slider of the draft so far and the swans get a star in Cornelious. Aaron Cornelious is a very good Key forward who will be the backbone of Sydney’s forward line.

31. Western Bulldogs- Tom Lynch- I am not 100% sold on this kid, but I believe he is the best available KP and the doggies will pounce.

32. Western Bulldogs- Kade Klemke- The dogs go for some speed and grunt and get Klemke. This guy is a small defender who can run the lines very well.

33. Geelong- Jared Redden- Geelong stock up on an up and coming ruckmen. He will be a good replacement for the ageing Brad Ottens.

34. Hawthorn- Jayden Post- Hawthron grab some tall timber and a player who I think will assist Trent Croad down back.

Round 3
35. Melbourne- Luke Shuey
36. West Coast Eagles- Clancee Pearce
37. Fremantle- Daniel Hannebury
38. Port Adelaide- Jay Shannon
39. Geelong- Dayne Beams
40. Carlton- Tom Rockliff

42. Port Adelaide- Chris Hall
43. North Melbourne- Mitch Brown
44. Adelaide- Jarrad Blight
45. Collingwood- Paul Cahill
46. Collingwood- Mitch Banner
47. St Kilda- Hayden Ballantyne
48. St.Kilda- Jamie Sheahan
49. Geelong- Taylor Hunt
50. Hawthorn- Matt Deboer

52. West Coast Eagles- Tom Hill
53. Fremantle- Zach Sengstock
54. Port Adelaide- Sam Wright
55. Essendon- Steven Motlop
56. Fremantle- Bart Mculloch
57. Brisbane Lions- Ben Cousins
58. Richmond- Tom Allwright
59. North Melbourne- Jordan Jones
60. Adelaide- Nathan O'Keefe
61. Sydney- Steve Gaertner
62. St Kilda- Michael Still
63. Hawthorn- Lance Daly

69. Brisbane Lions- Nick Davis
70. Richmond- Steven Armstrong

Any Thoughts? Please try to minimise talk about Ziebell, Hartlett and Sidebottom but that is my opinion.

Melbourne taking leigh brown is an interesting one, i was thinking that we may need a bit more experience with the amount of players we have to pick up in both drafts. think we have 7 spots available and would like to take an experienced player with one of these picks, but im not sure leigh brown would be the right choice. why do you have him going to melbourne? where do u think he would play there? cause i am more than happy with our defence atm.

would also rather take shoenmakers over roughead and hope that redden is available at pick 35.

I see your point but i believe that you will be able to use Leigh Brown as a utility player. I think that with the amount of spots on yor list it is worth taking a risk. The risk may pay off or it wont at all, but one thing is certain, Leigh Brown potential was not fully unleashed at north.

pretty terrrible for freo imo.
we need at least one kpp with our first three picks. hopefully lisle or davis are still available. i also really hope we dont go a forward pocket in the first two rounds. i'd rather nab one in the fourth, ballantyne or richardson should still be there, sharples maybe. they'd do just as good a job imo.

if we get rich we need two mids and a kpp. if naita i can see us going two mids in the second round. also, later on i think there will be emphasis on picking up kpps.

also, no way in hell will ziebell slide to 12. i reckon he's definitely top five in this draft. plus, he's a bottom ager and fits so well in so many teams - essendon, bris, richmond. sorry mate, but i think youll be disappointed if youre expecting him come draft day.

yer wouldnt mind putting him up forward with miller, which will give watts a couple of years to develop.

I dont think Freo go that badly! Also, i wasnt expecting Ziebell to go that low but if u look at teams taking risks then there isnt much of a risk with ziebell. Ziebell will never be amazing, he will always be very good player!

Top Effort Swans4eva:thumbsu:

Collingwood- Hartlett, Zaharakis, Cahill, Banner

Would Love that Draft:thumbsu::)

Pretty happy with the first 2 picks here
Sidebottom and Davis would be awesome
We don't go tall with our first pick, but with Sidebottom, Ziebell and Hartlett available I probably wouldn't either
Great that Davis is still around at 28
interesting you have us passing on pick 72
Is there anyone you think we will pick up in the PSD or wasn't there anyone left that you thought fit?
don't know much about Nathan O'Keefe, but i like the look of Sharples, so either hoping he lasts to pick 72 or we take him early at 60

Is it an accepted fact that Walters will be going to West Coast at 18 or 20?
I don't think i've seen one where he isn't

Everyone has Hartlett slipping past Richmond. I can tell you now that there is 0% chance of that happening.

I would be hugely disappointed with this result for Brisbane. Our biggest need is ball winning midfielders and the only one of those you have given us is Cousins and I am not sure I want to be relying on Ben. On the picks

Yarran - not my pick but a definate possibility. We do need a small forward. If we took Yarran I would be surprised if we also took Davis.

Lisle - nice player but Brisbane have a lot of quality key positions available. They will pick for need here and I can't see that Lisle fits a need.

Rounds - quick but mainly outside player who did not get an invite to Camp. The Lions are paying above the odds here and again not a big need apart from the speed.

Cousins - I don't know what is happening with Cousins. I would be surprised if he ended up at the Lions when all is said and done and I am not one who is hoping for it.

Davis - there is no competition for Davis' services. There is no way we are taking him here. We might hold a spot open for the PSD and see how he trains but we don't take him in the 5th round with 7 picks available.

That is the worst draft for Richmond I have seen the only player I rate would be Suban. Im also wondering why every draft after the Hearld Sun's has McKernan going to us when he is an Adam Pattison clone but just slightly better.

Delighted with the very versatile kep position Trengrove who will slot into CHB nicely. Sloane is an edurance runner which is ok and he's a good kid also.

Can you inform on Ballantyne, Sheahan and Still. Hope there is some pace in there.

Shame to see Benny go to Brisbane after everything we have invested in him.

Liking the first 2 picks you give Richmond, not so much a fan of Armstrong with our last pick(especially given that he isn't even training with us) and don't know enough about Allwright to comment on him.

Sydney did well in the first two rounds with major sliders!!

*peers at OP's team*

Oh, I see.

Im sorry champ, yor sweet coming from North Melbourne aren you. Cant afford anythin down at Arden Park!
Why not do ur own phantom draft next time champ!

Im getting really over seeing Deboer going so late in everyones drafts.... kid is going to be a star, don't know why everyone is jumping off.

Interesting picks S4E:thumbsu:

As I have stated before I think North really need inside mids and a key defender.

Kangas- Swift, Smith, M. Brown, Jones and Stanton.

Swift - A risky first rounder but a potential star with inside capabilities.

Ash Smith - An outside mid/defender with good run and carry.

M. Brown - A forward that is a bit of a tweener at present.

J. Jones - A KP defender that is a little undersized. North already have Firrito, Thompson and Gibson at around this size.

Stanton - A very outside utility with questionable kicking skills. I am not much of a wrap for Stanton. This kid is an athlete and I would prefer a footballer with a speculative pick.

I would like to see another inside mid with a late pick and perhaps a safer key defensive option with the third or fourth pick, but all in all, it's a good effort.

what is the opinion on grooming Matthew Broadbent to a perm FB??

Would this be a waste of talent or not??

Yeah man I'll do one and make sure we get Rich, Trengove, Ziebell and Hartlett as ''major sliders''. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
