With the standout season we had last year im excited to think what the future holds for our team & what else we can achieve in the years to come.

I was wondering on what you thoughts maybe ???? Considering we have such a great list & alot of players still to reach their peak, Who do you think who has the potential to bring another brownlow medal to the club ??? With our midfield so young, i thought the most likely choices would be Bartel, Ablett Jnr ,
Selwood considering that they would all have close to another 10 years at the top level ???

I think Jimmy has a great chance to be the first dual winner for the club.

Your thoughts on other players who would have the consistency to be able to achieve this.

Jnr x 2
Selwood x 2

Up to 2014 this is.

I hope. In this time we will be in the 2008, 2009 and 2012 Grand Finals. We will win the 2008 and 2012 Grand Finals. Hawkins will win the Coleman in 2011 and 2012. Ablett will be BOG in the Grand Final in 2008. Steve Johnson in 2009 (Kicks 7 goals in a losing side) while Hawkins gets it in 2012 for 5 goals, 12 marks, 20 posessions. Selwood gets jibbed though for his 33 possesion game.

If Geelong continue on the path they're on then Jimmy will feature very heavily in Brownlows to come...
I don't know how Jimmy isn't further up in the betting for this year.
He missed 2 games but he still won by 7 votes which is an awesome effort!
And he's a proven vote getter.
AND he's only 24.

Interesting note with Gaz. He had the most 2 vote games with 5 and the most 1 vote games with 4.
But out of the top 20 he came equal 19th in 3 vote games with 2.
If you change a few of those 2 vote games to 3's and add a couple of games where he should've got more (Brisbane!) it could've been a different story...

Steve Johnson might give it a shake too. He only played 17 games last year and I personally think he can still improve. If he kicks over 60 to goals he could come close in a low voting year. Probably not though... :P

If he can get his kicking for goal right, and if the umpires pull their heads out of that certain place they tend to have them lodged, #11 might be worth a look.

Joel Selwood is a massive chance to win one. With Ablett Jr, Bartel and Corey in the guts as well it will be tough. But this kid is so hard at it, has exceptional skills and is one of the best blokes going around. So he has all the attrributes to take home the Charlie in a few years.

I reckon Chappy is a good chance if his groin is ok. He was the standout in 2006.

I have no doubt whatsoever that he'll win one at some time in his career. Probably more than one.
