To be perfectly honest, while I was never really worried about Fyfe leaving, the news of St Kilda "withdrawing" (told they are no chance) was enough for me to be 100% he wasnt going anywhere and it was just a matter of time. I'd be more excited if I heard Tucker, Weller, Balic, Langdon etc had signed on...

I suspect it's the AFL's plans for a 7 aside comp, that has complicated matters.

With the pay rise that would put his current pay from 700k to 840k. I dare say that they'd have been looking to bump him another 150-200k so he could very well become our very first million dollar man.

Ok, well for Fyfe to be in the RFA category he needs to be in the top 25% earners in the year he comes our of contract doesn't he?

I am more than happy for him to be earning $1,000,000 a year when Nic Nat and Tom Boyd are too.
