Now we gotta work out which gate to go to and where to sit depending on what time we arrive! This arrived via email before - sorry if there are any errors - I used fine reader to copy it as I couldn't copy and paste the text.

Dear Valued Member
The Club is facing a significant increase in match-day venue costs due to major expansions inGabba seating over recent seasons. These higher charges are coming from our landlord - the Queensland Government's Major Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) and their ushering, gale attendance and security contractors to service the enlarged stadium design.
We are now pursuing all avenues to reduce these expenses. The MSFA's workplace health and safety regulations and insurance conditions stipulate that all open gates and available sections of the ground must be manned by ushers, gate attendants and security guards, even if few or no patrons are actually using those areas. The Brisbane Lions pay for all of these costs.
One way to lower these charges - as agreed by the MSFA - is to limit the number of gates and sections that are opened for the curtain raiser. This will reduce the number of security guards, gate attendants and ushers required in the stadium and their working hours.
So for Sunday matches, such as Fremantle this weekend, the following will occur:
9.10am Gates 2 and 7 will be opened. Members and patrons who enter via Gate 2 will only be able to sit in sections 31 -37 while those who enter via Gate 7 will only be able to sit in sections 11 - 12. There will be no allocated seating in these sections.
11.15am All sections will be opened and you should move to your original allocated seats.
11.30am All gates will be opened.
For all evening matches (normally Saturday nights), the timings will be as follows:
3.10pm Again, only Gates 2 and 7 will be opened and members and patrons will have the opportunity to sit in the same sections as outlined above.
3.20pm Curtain raiser game commences.
5.15pm All sections will be opened and you should move to your original allocated seats.
5.30pm All gates will be opened.
I sincerely hope that this necessary cost saving measure does not result in too much inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding. Should you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to contact our membership department on 07 3335 1777.
Kind regards
