Loving the negativity; when we're positive we tend to get rolled. i.e last week.

Sorry to intrude, I usually just read these threads not post in them, but I think talk of us winning by a big margin is way off. Our forward line is travelling poorly at present. Ballantyne is sadly out of form and Pavlich is irreplaceable.
See you Friday Tigers. Here's hoping for a good game and no injuries.
I'm not saying Freo are not a good overall team, I rate them highly but missing Pav is a big help for us. You could also say we were undone by Collingwood/Cloke on the weekend in a qtr, and what did we have 6 or 7 shots in a row at the end of the 3rd and start of the 4th. Not sure that's going to water.
Freo IMO limited the damage against the Hawks after that start, and the scoreboard flattered them. They pushed further back and clogged up the ground, Birchall had 37 touches just ran around as he pleased off half back. Get early goals against Freo and run the ball, we are a big chance.

Fremantle will be hungry after losing two on the trot, especially one very winnable game. Our confidence will be down after Saturday and Fremantle have had the wood over us in recent times so you'd think they'd be pretty fired up for this one..
So why will Fremantle be "hungry" after losing, and our confidence will be down? Why wouldn't both sides be "hungry"?
While I do rate Freo as a top 4 side, they hardly "have the wood over us". They beat us twice last year, and I can't remember us playing worse in 2012 than we did in those 2 games. In the years prior to 2012, we routinely beat Fremantle. We even beat them in 2009 and 2010, back when we were awful.
Ross Lyon has always given us trouble, but tipping an 80 point thrashing is insane.

Everybody is up in arms about our midfield not matching up to Collingwood's, but the reason we lost this week gone was simple - Travis Cloke.
Matthew Pavlich carved Rance up at the MCG last year as well, as did Drew Petrie when we played North in 2012. There are numerous other examples I can draw as well
Fact is, when we play teams who don't have a monster power forward, we can actually be beaten in the midfield but still win the game due to our style of defence. We tend to struggle more when we have to deal with big power forwards, which Fremantle will not have this week.
Mark my words, we have a MUCH better chance of winning this with Pav out. If he was playing I'd be tipping Fremantle by 30 points and Pav to be played back into form. Without Pav, who single-handedly got them over the line at the 'G last year, we're right upto our necks in this one.
Tigers by 12 points!

Our midfield was woeful in the 3rd quarter. Almost non-existant. Cloke was a big factor, but not the sole one.
Not that I'm a big fan of violence, but that would be worth the price of admission![]()

I agree - it won't be a thrashing.
Difference with Freo this time compared to last year - we have our best midfield on the park, but forward line is weaker with no Pav. Defense is still strong; ruck is good with Griffin (but not as dominant as with Sandilands).
I'm tipping a Freo win but only if Crowley, DeBoer and Mzungu can limit the influence of Deleido, Martin and Cotchin.
Martin won't touch the ball. Crowley or DeBoer will see to that.

Absolute crap.... Martin will get plenty of touches, be close to BOG.... then half time will come and he won't do much after that![]()
