Hi all

I'll explain the purpose of this thread with a back story.

A couple of days ago I took UFC 2010, Alan Wake, Final Fantasy XIII and NBA 2k10 to Watergardens to trade in. They are games that for the most part I wasn't going to get much more play time into. Rather than having them sit there with two games that I wanted (NBA 2k11 and the new WWE game) coming out (or already released at the time, NBA 2k11) I wanted to swap for them to get as much value as I could get.

In the end those four games got me NBA 2k11 and about $30 off of the WWE game. Pretty weak but that's the way it goes when you deal with the gaming stores.

Yesterday I realized that there may have been a better idea out there since I've recently begun posting on these forums. Obviously most people aren't going to be able to get every game that they want to play. Likewise, there will be games that we have bought that we're done with that sit there and collect dust and we don't really want to trade in because we know we're ripping ourselves off.

So I sent Ant a message and asked him "Can we start a game swapping thread." Other users may have found more value in those games that I traded in and were willing to swap a game of similar value that they were also done with.

He had no problem with it. However, he did ask me to post the following disclaimer.

BigFooty DISCLAIMER: BigFooty will not take any responsibility for any personal losses.

In other words, if you decide to swap game(s) with another user then it is all on you.

My advice: If you choose to swap games with other BigFooty then meet in person rather than mailing a game out if at all possible to limit your potential for loss.

Okay, my personal games list. Most of these games have no value.

Bioshock
Fable II
Face Breaker
Mass Effect
Perfect Dark Zero
Saints Row
Sega Superstars Tennis
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
TNA Impact
Viva Pinata

I also have NBA 2k11 and will have WWE Raw Vs Smackdown 2011 (though obviously I'm not interested in trading them yet).

My list of XBOX 360 Games. All Australian:
Rugby League Live
Madden 10
Halo:Reach
CoD 4
Fifa 11

Madden, Halo and CoD- I dont play anymore. Got bored of them quickly and Fifa and RLL play em to bits.

Edit: And also getting 2k11 tomorrow or Monday.

I've seen this work on other forums. It's a good idea but you really have to trust the person you are dealing with, obviously.

You're going to struggle to offload Rugby League Live. Apparently that game is horrible.

Quite a few people on here like it.

Not to mention that he plays it to bits.. He just posted his collection.

It's certainly a game that I wouldn't mind giving a go at some point.

Trust certainly comes into it. That's why I suggested meeting in person. It'd also help if you swapped between people who had been long term posters (Yes, I know, I joined a month ago) and/or had a reasonable post count.

It could work as an occasional thing.

I find it sad that people are trading in games that are relatively recent releases and getting 20-30 cents on the dollar. How many times have you seen someone post that they'd traded in a game that you had wanted to play and then find out later the same poster wanted one of the games you were done with? I'd tend to think that it happens regularly.

WTF?
I didn't realise that anybody actually bought that game

It's pretty popular mate, think it sold pretty well.

It's an awesome kids game, i bought it second hand for about 12 bucks and whenever my nieces and nephews come over all they want to do is play VP.

It's a nice little game really. I'm an Environmental Scientist and i love how it introduces the idea of community interactions to kids. You have to do certain things to attract certain piniatas. Like a kids version of restoration ecology.
