Game thread versus Hawks

No game thread so I thought I'd start it. Morton looks to be fired up today. Tigers up by 3 goals.

I dont normally go outside the crows area but I had to come in and say a big congrats to Richmond today. After getting crushed last week and getting a media hammering all week you guys showed you have a great team that can beat the best sides. Lets hope you scrape into the 8 and dont get that 9th spot yet again

Can't make the finals mate....too many things need to go our way. I'm just glad our boys showed some spirit. Especially after last weeks train wreck.

Congrats Richo, congrats tigers. Cotchin is a player allready.

Umps gave you a bit of a leg-up early, but you made the most of your opportunities, and matched us for intensity and general play - something no team has been able to do for as long as you did this year.

Like the Geelong game, we consistently shot ourselves in the foot with poor skills - our whole gameplan relies on being #1 in skills - today was terrible, and our goal-kicking was just as bad.

Moore/McGuane/Thursfield I thought worked VERY well (helped out by Richo/Bowden floating back and our woeful field kicking) in defence - I don't think you'll have too many issues in that area over the coming years.

I admit, coming in I thought this would be a 10+ goal win - I wonder if our players took a similar view - by the time we "started" playing, you had the lead you held all day.

A great win, you've got some good kids there and you seem to have a settled gameplan. Improve the skills marginally and pick up/bring back one or two more players and the Tigers are back in town.

Cotchin is going to be a superstar, I don't know if he will win the Rising Star this year (he probably should) but if I was to pick one player out of the nominees this year for the Cats I'd pick him every time. Hard at the ball, top notch skills - he's got the works.

I just log in and read this thread, having been in the city all day and hearing nothing about the footy.

Considered heading to the game, but decided to go to Southbank instead and visit the art and craft markets there. Bought a couple of nice painting prints for my bedroom. ROFLMAO...
