I didn't realize we'd have a chance at Subi cos we always suck there.

Good try Dockers,... but I guess that's 3 in a row!

Well done Bomberrrrrssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!

Too bad for Fletcher though... he's a good player. Does anyone reckon Mal Michael could take his place well?... he was considered the best player at Bendigo for a while now, or so I've heard.

Hope to win more!!

Healy just said that Essendon could pinch 8th spot, does anyone else think we can.

Anything is possible. None of those middle ranked teams seem to be able to string wins together. We have moved out of the bottom 4 and are closing in on Richmond. Even with our shithouse %, if a few results from other games go our way we could be lining up on the MCG in September.

2. Ricky Dyson Very disappointing. I was hoping he'd set the scene with his first kick right at the start, but was barely sighted again.
4. Jobe Watson His best game of the year. Dominated all of the in-and-under play. Roved Sandilands (____ me he's huge) beautifully.
5. Brent Stanton As I said before, worthy of the number 5. Shove that up your arse, all the doubters. Another very good game for Stants.
6. Angus Monfries Always in the right positions in the forward line. Starting to look well and truly worthy of the first round draft pick.
7. Leroy Jetta Rising Star please. Played a beautiful game. 2 or 3 votes.
9. Adam Ramanauskas Played a very good game in the forward pocket. Has a future there, at least until Winderlich comes back.
10. Mark McVeigh Played a very, very good game, as he does. Superstar.
11. Damien Peverill Quiet in the first half, pretty good in the 3rd and a horror mistake to give them sniff.
12. Andrew Welsh Looking more and more like an elite tagger every week. Bring on Simon Black.
13. Andrew Lovett Electric when he was on, as always. Kicked a very important goal in the third.
17. Jay Nash One of his better games of the year, I thought. A little quiet at the start, but started to get more and more of the ball and use it very well.
18. Matthew Lloyd Captain Courageous. Has a new lease on life at CHF. Looks very impressive.
19. David Hille One of the elite ruckmen now. Held his own against the skyscraper, and kicked two very nice goals.
23. David Myers A disappointing game from Myers. Did a few things in the last, but was practically anonymous, after receiving a very nasty split nose.
25. Scott Lucas Out of touch. Kicked a couple, but needs to get some form back to prove himself worthy of three years.
27. Jason Laycock His best game of the year. Showed a lot of poise and composure coming off the half back line in the second half.
30. Paddy Ryder Outclassed by Pav, but will be a star
31. Dustin Fletcher Injury is shocking news for us, especially against Brisbane.
33. Adam McPhee Busted his guts all day. Player pretty well.
36. Sam Lonergan Didn't get much of the ball, but what he did was good.
37. Kyle Reimers Freo just got Reimered. He killed everyone. Fantastic goal as well.
42. Nathan Lovett-Murray Poor. Too lazy in the backline. Needs to tighten up on his man and in the backline.

Congratulations Bomber fans on the win. I just got back and really enjoyed the game (if not the result!!).

Always seems to be a nice spirit between rival supporters at Subi for Bombers v Freo games :thumbsu:

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks for being a good sport.

Hopefully you guys can have a bit of luck and snare a couple more games before the year is over.

Mayne is class, great pickup.

Cheers mate. How big was the Essendon contingent there? The roar at the siren was massive on TV.

Great turnout from the Perth Bombers. Always either the best (or 2nd best) supported Melbourne team v Freo. I sit up their end, and like I said I enjoy the friendly stirring and banter between the 2 clubs supporters ... never too agro.

I think Lucas almost cost a win tonight.

He had Grover cold about 5 times and couldn't mark it. His second efforts were non existent and he looked a little slow out there.

Lets hope the break does him the world of good because he's been ordinary since he's come back from injury.

Congrats everyone, so enjoying watching the bombers as I have said many times. The team deserves a huge pat on the back for proving everyone wrong so far. keep it up because they are fantastic to watch. well done

And that last goal that Tarrant got was Pev's fault, not NLM's.

Anywho, in response to kelivn sheedy: He hasn't been great, but we couldn't have expected much. Today was obviously worse than a couple of his other starts in the past month. In any case, he demands a quality defender and that's massive for us which I'm sure you're not doubting.

I can't see why he would have a break this week, but rather keep training to his maximum.

In any case, he needs a pre season so as long as he plays the last 8 games and kicks 20 goals and allows Neagle to kick 20.......he's done his job.

I guess the finals are something nice to joke about, but it's not going to happen this year and to be honest, I don't think we need to play finals.

As long as the kids keep trying their hearts out and improving each week, that's all that matters this year.

I don't mean to be negative, but I hope noone out there actually thinks we're going to play finals.....

A good win, especially due to the fact Lucas didnt have a good day. Ryder, Jetta did very well today. Go Bombers a massive win for our developement. :thumbsu:

Crap. Say what you want about Tarrant but he knows how to find space and get a lot of uncontested marks. NLM kept him to 4 marks and 2 goals and had 19 touches himself. Good game.

Well, if Tarrant knows how to find space, NLM should play even tighter on him. I was really disappointed with his game. Has been good in the past month, but that was a very poor game from him.

Is it NLM fault that the space in front of him wasn't guarded? One on one NLM beat Spaz hands down, except for the one time where Spaz pushed off him easily resulting in the mark and goal. Provided good run from defence and his spoling was a highlight.

NLM was one of our best yesterday, his kicking has really improved and looks fairly safe playing down back. Like you said, NLM has had a good month. :thumbsu:

Not sure exactly how much more NLM has to do, bizarre statement on your behalf.

I wasn't at the game, but from what I saw on TV, it seemed like NLM was a long way behind Tarrant a lot of the time. Maybe it wasn't like that live, or there were extenuating circumstances which I didn't see, but I thought he was very unaccountable. I might watch the game again (I love IQ:)) today, and watch out for that.

It was just GREAT up in the stands city end of ground, all of us Bomber fans just never stop supporting the team all game, and singing the team song, well for me, never that loud before and with such gusto :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
