I was looking on the AFL website and saw that Michael Tuck played 426 games for Hawthorn, does this figure include all pre-season games he may have played?
If it does, then the 300games Harvey has played (as of PF v PAFC) does that figure also include any pre-season games he has played?

Cheers.
Scotty

Nope AFL Seniors only, not including Night Games Pre-season whatever, resrves, under 19's... you get the point.

They are premiership point games

No.

Tuck's record doesnt.

Although Tuck has played the most AFL games I remember there was controversy over if Craig Bradley held the record.

400 for Carlton, over 100 for Port Adelaide,

For senior matches Bradley does hold the record with 473 matches. Port Adelaide SANFL 1981-85 (98); Carlton 1986-2001 (356); South Australia (19).
Thats what got me wondering about tucks 426. cause it says senior matches and includes SOO so i though it may include pre-season or night matches aswell since they are senior matches.

And you can't count SANFL games as 'senior' games when comparing to AFL/VFL.

If that's the case you'd have to count VFL games. That'd have to nudge Barry Round right up there. Didn't he play for Willy for 27 years until he was 62 after he left the Swans? ;)

Go on the AFL Website and have a look. They count them in the record for most senior matches ever played.

yep over 5 years worth.

He also was the oldest player ever to wear the boots at AFL level-42 years of age.

?

38 when he retired.

Born 24.6.53 (not sure why thats stuck in my brain).

Not sure if he is the oldest, I'm pretty sure back in the ye olde days, some blokes in their 40s were running around.

Are you sure I always got the impression he was 42?

I know he holds the record for the oldest player, unless my sources are either pieces of ******** or biased Hawthorn crap, of which I like ;)

Vic Cumberland of St.Kilda is the oldest player to ever play VFL/AFL football. He was 42 when he played his last game. It was a really long time ago...possibly the 1920s.
I'm pretty sure Tuck was 38 or 39 when he retired.
