Top blokes, when I was a teen, it was great when at Xmas time people used to leave out bottles of booze for them, me & my friends had to get up preeeeeeetty early to beat the garbos to them. :eek:

I must admit, two years ago I did a couple of days work experience with the local council in one of these trucks:

Very very interested couple of days. They have two steering wheels, sit on the left hand side, and only have to move a joystick most of the day.

Garbos make a lot of money with short working hours. Its not easy to become one either.

Very true, I had a mate who thought that it'd be a good job for his circumstances. He asked around, and basically all he got were bemused looks. He was told that the jobs were very valuable, and you pretty much had to know someone to get one.
 
I'd like them more if they ever emptied my bin properly or at all - one day they just forgot our street - or they didn't leave it knocked over on the ground or the lid open, always on days where it's rained (thankfully after it's emptied!)
