Does anyone else think this a fair deal. It sorts the WCE forward problem and the Pies ruck problem.

Both have dodgy knees. But Tarrants will mend, Gardiners nearing his used by date.
The only ruck problem the Pies have is that they were all injured last year, except for a basketballer on the rookie list. If they are actually all fit, this is one of the few areas of depth at Collingwood.Macca_2311 said:

Gardiner isn't a ruckman anymore so if a club was to recruit him it would be as a forward. Tarrant gets homesick in Melbourne so there is no chance of him moving to Perth. He would also struggle with the media attention in a two team town.
Assuming Tarrant wanted to play for WCE then Tarrant = McConnell + Gardiner

absolute madness if collingwood even considered this
gardiner is shot.. both knees are stuffed.. needed injections to train and play for the last 6 weeks of the season.

firstly, collingwoods ruck problem this year was that they were all injured thsi would not be solved by bringing in a player that can't even string two games together!
and secondly tarrant is infinetly greater then gardiner! gardiner plus a top 10 pick for tarrant would be fair!
