Gary Lyons attack on Danny Jacobs during the Hawthorn v Carlton game last weekend was nothing short of pitiful, Gary if you have something against Danny how about being professional enough to leave your grudges out of your commentary, it was nothing short of a disgrace and to single Jacobs out for not picking up Whitnall and Deluca was very poor form, I dont think he was on either of them at that stage. Jacobs played a good game and starts a lot of attacks, his disposal is always good, so Gary do yourself a favour and keep your personal problems out of your commentary, you are letting yourself down but i guess you dont mind doing that anyway.

I didnt hear the incident in question, but in my opinion Garry lyon is one of the better commentators/hosts going around along with Commetti, Brayshaw, Tim Lane, and atm Luke Darcy.

Too right. I remember a few cases where big Lance was the only Carlton player in the forward half for Carlton and with Jacobs meant to be marking him, he just sat off him and when the ball came to Whitnall, Lance was able to mark uncontested. I think on one occasion he was able to run on, take a bounce and kick a goal from 55m.

Yeah I thought it was pretty ordinary too.Jacobs isn't the only one to cop it though. Lyons is all bitter and twisted .If a bloke loses a contest or is getting beaten on the day just say so and move on, don't make personal attacks on a players character.
