Geel v Sandy 1st Quarter

have to say very impressed with the first quarter, considering the lack of experience and senior players our group of youngies did very well. could work on a few skill issues but apart from that served us well. Sandy/Melb supporters should be pretty disappointed with their senior players who didnt exert as much influence as they should. S Johnson for us is a class above, grima looks good and a couple blonde haired guys. Disappointing that a few guys playing for their careers have had little or no influence, namely playfair, tenace, spencer. S.Hunt not up to it either. thoughts?

Shunt seemed to had a couple of wayward kicks but his speed seems to be good. Haven't been watching it intently though. In general though, I agree with what you've said. A good tough 4 straight in the second half of the first looked good, but there have been a fair few skill erros overall.

Wasn't he suspended from AFL? Does that apply to VFL too? What's the story?

With all due respect we have a very inexperienced side coming up against the reigning triple premiers, its not a great surprise they are getting belted. Dog is playing fantastic and I have also been impressed with Djerkurra and West in the ruck.

Skills have been atrocious, so many short passes missing targets considerably. Grima has kicked about 1.4

Shame also that guys like Tenace, Sam Hunt, Callan, Spencer cannot have an impact on the game.

If we lose a lot of AFL games it is going to be hard to keep Dog in the VFL

I think if you get suspended at any grade you can't play anywhere until you serve your suspension.

suspension in the AFL also includes the VFL, it always has. The reason Kelly and Stokes has played VFL in the last few weeks was they were only practice matches. This game is Round 1 of the Official VFL season and so they cannot play.
