Don't know about most hated; I respected (and feared) Geelong for most of the last 10 years, even when while they were continually beating us.

One thing that has annoyed me a bit, since Hawthorn started turning the tables last year, is the inability from anyone in the Cats camp to give any credit to the Hawks (not Big footy camp, the actual team)

All I've heard when the Hawks end up in front is how the Hawks pinched it, how the cue went in the rack, how they were actually on top for most of the game, how next time would be different, and how it was only a couple of errors that cost them 4 or 6 goal losses.

Clarko may be angry in the box, but he is always highly respectful of his opponents. part of me thinks Geelong may have lost a bit of that.

You must be reading the wrong threads-plenty on Geelong board have acknowledge your team's superiority over last couple of years, and your ability to maintain high levels.

As I said in my post, I'm not referring to Big Footy supporters who (apart from the usual suspects) have been quite gracious.

I mean the Chris Scott and players in numerous interviews.

I just get the sense a few of the Cats have the old "They didn't beat us, we lost it" thing going on...

Why not? You got an absolute armchair ride and I am annoyed.

You need to stop posting about the umps, as a neutral I can tell you they did a good job. They were especially brave not to pay any of the ducking into oppositions midriff and I thought the treatment of Thomas was excellent given his history. Go ahead and be annoyed on your finest hour but spare us your whining.

Yeah I remember that comment too, made it even better last night when they just failed, despite the assistance they received in the last quarter.

Anyone who thinks that deliberate out should have been paid is deluded. And earlier, I don't care about his prior history, Thomas deserved an in the back free. Selwood still got 5 free kicks, dispute his well deserved king of the ducks title. Any of those championing the "Selwood bled for the team" thing think that if he didn't have his head so far down he wouldn't get hit as much. In saying that, yes he was carrying the team.

Good to see a few cats supporters being gracious in this thread.

Geeeelongs domination came after a forever of not quite good enough, it's just a shame so many supporters seemed (to me anyway) to be bad winners and bad losers. The reason I dread going to cats games more than any other team we play.

The kangas played bloody good, slick footy last night, deserve all the credit.

Injuries? Don't give me that shit, if Rocca didn't have a broken foot way back when, it would have been us crushing Port the next week.

That's footy, and hard as it is too see the easy wins go, and someone else get a turn, learn to do it at least a little graciously.

Scott is just a competitive beast, and to be honest I don't find Clarko any more gracious either. They don't like to lose, cut em a break.
Hawks(and others) have our measure for the moment and needs to be acknowledged.
But we'll be back and look forward to when we can compete with you again as they have been the best of football games for a long time.
