Brizzy and the Suns will be pretty competitive in 3 or 4 yearsIt all depends on the ebb and flow of the market up North. For the AFL to maximise any future profit both Brisbane and Gold Coast need to remain as viable entities so the AFL can ensure that market remains as competitive as possible... Some type of concessions will be granted to Brisbane in the short term.
I lived up that way for around 6 years and the growth the area had in regards to AFL development and in particularly Victorians had the league licking their lips...this game has a lot of support up North. Aussie Rules was in the infant stages of surpassing Rugby League and that's their prime objective, so they'll get as much of a leg-up as possible.
The game isn't about the fans or the game itself anymore hence my dwindling interest.
The money hungry Greek swine that goes by the name of Andrew Demetriou was the single biggest factor in ******* this sport entirely.
Now greed and corruption are rife.
AFL is a close second with most Qlders, they are way more open minded than NSWelshmen
Our town had more kids turn out for junior AFL than they could cope with girls and boys ,the junior rugby team struggled to get a handful
