Spoons don't count from back then. No equalisation measures, established teams paying their players vs unpaid players, wide spread player poaching, especially from the poor young clubs. The expansion teams of 1925 were brought in to fail and did exactly that. Spoons only count from 1955 onwards.

It's actually quite shocking considering they've won the last 3 flags but are already conceding defeat to Geelong on the day of the first qualifying final! I guess that just proves Geelong's long running domination over the Hawfies
