Geelong Gumbies 2009

Its the season of redemption for us fellas. We were plagued by inconsistancy and must galvanise together strongly in order to become the elite team we know we can be.

I will most certainly be playing again this season, and we should use this thread for everybody to make the committment to the Gumbies in 2009.

So, get your recruiting hats on, pull in some big volume posting members to the Gumbies and lets get it on.

Whilst it is a great idea to get a thread up early I will note now to save problems down the track that any committment made to the Gumbies by a player in this thread is not actually binding until list lodgements. Until then, as for every team, every season there is open free-agency.

Fantastic lads! We've also got lewigie who is keen, so that's three new fellas to get the recruiting drive off to a brilliant start

Season doesn't start until March, so we got plenty of time to get it all together.

Six (except ones not a bloke ).

I've delisted everyone except myself, portentous and G.F.C.

We've got three (and possibly four) new recruits coming in at this stage.

Will be contacting all 2008 listed players to confirm whether they are interested in continuing in 2009.

Great to see the Gumbies on the front foot with recruiting some new blood. Should be a chance to land someone from another club with what appears to be some good playing positions open.

The only reason that I didn't delist portentous and G.F.C is that they had already put their hands up to play before I needed to contact them I was going to delist myself as well, but I told myself I wanted to play again in 2009

You were one of the select few I bothered to contact, because most of the rest of the team have not posted on any board here for at least 3 months or more.
