Backfire Geelong vs hawthorn first final

4 games this weekend had to go a certain way to keep this outcome in play. They all did.

Hawks vs cats at kardinia park first final. Its happening.

I don't know if you are being deliberately obtuse or genuine are numbnuts but the AFL already ruled out Geelong hosting a home final at KP, and Collingwood ain't losing to Naarm nor Hawthorn beating Brisbane up at the Gabba.

I think this is almost the worst thread on the Bay all year tbh

Hawthorns in great form. The lions and pies are not.

Gold coast is the only team that could upset this. But it is gold coast.

Even if The Hawks beat the Lions up there, they would have to win by a lot and assume Collingwood lose to Naarm which isn't going to happen (as much as I would love for it to occur)

Yea well that part should be happening. Need to get the protest started now. Playing our home final at hawks home ground is bull****
Not sure about that. Geelong play home games at the MCG — this year they played a homer against the Hawks. Last year it was the Dons in the Country Roads blockbuster.

This is not like the Dogs, who last year were forced to play a home game at the opposition teams home ground.

The Cats have it made — not only do they get 10 home games on the cigar shaped Kardina Park but they are the only Vic team that avoid homers at that Marvel Stadium shit hole.

I fully expect Hawthorn to beat the Lions this week but given Narrm are completely fried and Hinkley will go out of his way to tuck us we are odds on to the miss 4 - and given we squibbed Easter Monday, the Gold Coast in Darwin and the Crows and Dockers away we only have ourselves to blame…

Enjoy this years flag, it’s Geelong’s to lose. It’s gonna be a 2022 all over again

Not true. We'd either need to win bigger than Collingwood (by 8+ points more) or simply win if Collingwood loses. And that's not an impossibility after the past few weeks.

Most likely is Cats vs BadNewsBears

If Lol Horf roll them, then Lollingwood, unless Suns win both of theirs by 40-50 points... which is possible.

Then if Lol Horf do finish 5th, they're on the other side of the draw to Cats so won't meet in Week 2 if the impossible happens (Cats lose, Lol Horf wins week 1... HAHAHAHA good one!)

Not sure if I'm reading your incoherent senile post correctly, but in your scenario, we'd be potentially meeting in week three (though I doubt you'd beat Foldroy, or even Collingwood, away from your cheat ground). Week two for 5 v 8 is loser of 1 v 4.

Thats the most ridiculous logic ive ever heard. Home advantage isnt determined by how much you play somewhere. Its determined by how much of your home crowd is there vs your oppositions which influences both momentum and ump decisions. Its also determined by how far you have to travel vs your opposition.

By your absurd logic if we forced west coast to play 3 home games at the mcg then rather it being a massive penalty to them it would be an advantage? Utterly absurd

And games keep falling to make geelong vs hawthorn happen.

Pies won but not by enough. Gold coast falls over to port.

It started off with about 8 games needing to fall a certain way. And so far they all did. So now it comes down to one match (not counting the geelong vs tigers game as that result is obvious). Hawks beat lions by about 2 goals (3 goals with high scoring game) then its cats vs hawks.

Hawks have to win by about 2 goals.

Gold coast is now out of the equation. This is happening.

FML…

I’m not sure I’m really ready for this.
