Clayton's version of the concept sounds terrible, but I'm otherwise for this. While already listed players being traded during draft night appears a long way off in the AFL, the League hasn't ruled out bringing in the significant addition of being able to move picks for this year's draft, which will again be held in Sydney.
(Scott) Clayton said he couldn't foresee already listed players being up for trade on draft night at least in the short-term plans of the competition, but that players in the draft pool might not finish the night where they were first selected.
Richmond had an interesting community camp:

Eddie was magnificent for turning Collingwood around in the early years.
But he's past his use-by now and every year that passes he becomes a bigger millstone.
It's awesome...

I saw the headlines on the back of today's West Australian and I thought bad idea, Fyfe has been injured and probably should just concentrate on playing good football for the upcoming season and not be burden with the extra pressure of being captain. Oh well that's their problem.
Interesting. Wonder if they only gave it to him on the proviso he was intending to stay past this season? Or is it a desperate attempt to keep him there?
MIKE Fitzpatrick has announced he is retiring from the AFL Commission, ending 10 years as the League's chairman during an historic period of expansion.
Fitzpatrick, who has served 14 years on the Commission, will be replaced by Richard Goyder on April 4.
A three-time premiership ruckman with Carlton, Fitzpatrick's resignation was accepted by the Commission at a meeting in Sydney on February 9.
Interestingly, the players choose the captain at Freo apparently. If true, the playing list obviously wasn't thrilled with Mundy's performance in the role.I would say the latter Jatz.

Hope not.Any chance he joins us as a director?
Look I had a lovely supper and all I said to my wife was that piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah.
The mere mention of 'that' name around these parts makes my stomach turn and my blood boil.
Phew I thought you were going to ban me for speaking ill of the dead.
In that case I hope he didn't go to heaven but went to "the other place".
