We drew with this Geelong team just 9 months ago.... They add Dangerfield, Smith & Henderson & look like a top 4 team FFS!

We also lost to Freo 9 months ago and they are now bottom. Not sure you can play that game.

BUT

No doubt Geelong are now a lock for top 4. And if you are top 4 - then you are a contender.

Sure you can play that game. Geelong saw deficiencies & went & recruited very high quality players in those positions.... Who did Freo add to their list to make them stronger? Bennell? Not worth the trouble IMHO & Perhaps that's why they've dropped off.... Actually that & their injuries are probably why they have dropped off

They are flattered by their fixture though. Two games this year have been hard and one was against a less than full strength Hawks and last nights game. They have been gifted a run at finals. They only have 4 hardish games for the rest of the year...bulldogs twice and swans and Roos once. I hope they get bundled out quickly because of their soft run but probably more likely to go in fit and uninjured and win it again. Most open year for a long time. Why can't we get luck like they do. They get a stadium that earns them $1 million a game and we get to pay for ours then handed back some charity, we finish down the bottom years on end and get a harder fixture. It is ****ed and we will have to hear about how they are a fantastic club.

No. They have had a moderate fixture but they are better & improved overall as a team with their mature additions so it now looks like they've had an easy draw. They've played Hawthorn, Adelaide (away), West Coast (home), Gold Coast (home), GWS (away), Brisbane (home) & Port Adelaide (away).... They've played & beaten the reigning Grand finalists with absolute ease. Thoroughly beaten both SA teams away in Adelaide (never easy to do regardless), & put away easy beats Lions, Suns & Bombers as well. Only blemish was to the up & coming Giants.

Sure their draw hasn't been overly hard, but it hasn't been easy either

Geelong are taking their opportunities as they are presented. They recruited well, but at a high cost. They see a window of opportunity before GWS and a few other clubs, who are still in development phase, take over the competition. I see us among that group, they may too, but they are getting in before these next generation peak. Interesting times.

At the start of the season commentators were saying they had a super easy fixture and on radio compared it to Brisbane who have a fixture from hell. Geelong had one year just outside finals and get the type of fixturing they usually reserve for teams well...like Brisbane who are struggling. Most hard games at home and lots of double ups again ordinary teams. It helps them that teams like freo are like witches hats this year but even before some teams dropped away it was an easy run for Geelong.

FFS Fremantle... I had $5 on Freo, Saints and GWS for a return of $300 or something. Saw the half time scores and had a little bit of hope. Dunno what I was thinking really. This is the team that lost to Carlton over in WA.

According to Zemplis the druggies had a symbolic win over North.
I suppose tgey get an symbolic 4 points as well.

God he is a w***er. Also Watson saying the only thing that beat Essendon was time.

Apparently the game should go longer than 4 qtrs if his beloved team is getting close

Can you guys remind me if we are a 5-time 'symbolic' premiership club or 6-time?

If time is a restraint then perhaps they should consult Dr Ageless.

They did have a symbolic win, how many Essendon players came off for a jab? or a magic spray? or were chasing kittens on the treadmills trying to catch it? They should celebrate the fact that they're almost 3 full years into not being drug#$%$^'d junkies.

They can also have symbolic 4 points as well.

Point 1: Be apologetic, they won't hate you if you express how sorry you are whilst stating you've done nothing wrong. Will they?
Point 2: Claim underdog status, because we're missing our best 47, this make any loss tolerable because BY OUR POWERS COMBINED, WE ARE THE MONKEY IN CAPTAIN PLANET! heart!
Point 3: Be positive, look toward the future, ensure Robbo has an eclair and is fully supplied to spread our gospel.
Point 4: Ensure the brownlow is well shined to be passed on to a fairer recipient.

If it were a grand final the AFL would allow it, they'd then replay it if they failed and bring back the challenge system just for the occasion, then claim the other mob was salary cap cheating. Bevo would then come out and claim they were shafted in a prelim and should have been the ones to be given an armchair ride, Bob Murphey would smile and people will melt because zen, and resurrection.

Otherwise, gee coincidental this comes a week after we played them and effectively go down by a behind scored in the last 2 mins (kicks after sirens irrelevant to win/loss) teams should be salivating at us playing their opposition as it gives them a chance to win the next week.
