Pls tell me how many of picketts games you watched when he was a "junior"

I saw enough of Peter Wright to know that passing him up 3 times was unbelievably stupid.

However to answer your question directly the only time I saw him play was in the under 18 champs and he was extremely average.

If you are going to go at pick 4, and you have average athleticism u had want to be dominating against the best of your peers. He was an also ran. His entire under 18 year was inconsistent and there were question marks on his ability to transition full time into a mid role. Sorry if i missed any "remarkable" games in person, but the facts are his champs were ordinary. Not pick 4 worthy, not even close.

Did you see his champs game here in perth against the top of table SA?

Granted Wrights champs were down also, however he is 200+ cm, with a long booming accurate right boot. Pretty much every recruiting team overlays a premium to big blokes, particularly athletic ones as u have to pay through the nose for them on the open market.

When u are short with a questionable tank u really need to be consistently rippjng games up to go that high I would have thought.

No, i did not see the game u are referring to but i am not disputing his best is very good, just that it is seen too infrequently to justify a pick 4 selection.

Id suggest theres a reason pickett went at pick 4. If you had seen that game or some of his senior wafl games then you'd understand
