To be fair, at least from where I was sitting, the Hawks player was nearly in row M when he touched it!
Maybe they are just looking for players to actually try? Talent is no longer a requirement, but need to start somewhere?

Sam Menegola played for the Cats last night sammm and was named in the bests at the end of the game. Prior to that he spent a year with Hawthorn and three years with Fremantle but never got a game, before being picked up by Geelong last year as a mature ager (I think he's around 25 years old now). One of our great WA posters, Defacto, was very keen for the Saints to pick him last year from memory, and repeatedly mentioned him in the trade and draft thread. I am just astounded though, that Ross Lyon couldn't see the potential. And when I see the sheer volume of small list clogging mids on the Fremantle list now I marvel how Menegola never got a game.
