So you can imagine how excited I was after three weeks in Eastern Europe earlier this year when I stumbled across "The Little Melbourne Coffee Shop" in Budapest!

Been in WA for a few days sampling some local vino. been enjoying the drop, but more enjoying that so far if footy has come up, to a person has been the distaste for Fre-mentle and especially Lo$$ Lyin. Liking this state more!

Which aspect of the Luke Ball scenario if i may ask?

Well the fact that he was a mercenary who ran for more dollars when faced with a challenge therefore leaving his mates when they were a breath away from a flag?

Not to mention that he ran to a club that was one of our closest rivals for that flag, refusing to do medicals at any other club (draft tampering) which severely dented any chance that we had of gaining a fair trade.

Then theres the fact that he was negotiating with Collingwood before the 2009 Finals Series.

Or you can believe the Herald Sun version that was written by the PR department at Collingwood which painted Judas as
the victim of big bad mean Ross Lyon.

Ball was shafted by us. Left sitting on the pine in a Granny while lesser players were on the field.

If I was him I would have left at that time too fwiw. I value toxic's open minded contribution.

Why was he negotiating with Collingwood in June of 2009 then?

The 'bench' theory has grown in legend over the years. He missed one rotation due to a stuff up on the bench.

My understanding was that Ross felt there was only room for 1 of Lenny or Ball and that Lenny was better go he hot the greater TOG. IMO they could have both fitted into the 18 on the more than what eventuated through that time but that's just my opinion.

IMO Ball read the tea leaves and checked out his options and can't blame him for that.
We were pig headed and decided we'd take nothing for him which wasn't a great move.

Ball sooked it up when he was dropped mid-season 2009. Pathetic really, as his games & numbers were very poor & deserved dropping IMHO. He investigated his outside worth ($$$$ wise) during this time

I'm surprised. They've got a pretty good cafe culture there. Especially Tel Aviv.

That's what we heard from family friends who know Nathan Burke's wife.
It was an affront to the Ball family and their sense of entitlement.

As for the GF, Lyon was concerned about his endurance and how he dropped off after extended game time. the risk was that as he tired, his opponent would be able to run off him.

Japan was the worst, I was like a junkie sucking down coffee cans on the subway stations and hanging outside Starbucks scratching like I had fleas.

Well, aside from Lovett that is.

Lovett is a very ordinary human but was never really a St Kilda player.

Ball ran out on his mates (& us) when they needed him the most.

I know who I bear a grudge against the most.

Where? I didn't mind the coffee around Lake Tiberius, for example.

If you can get to a kibbutz for a meal, do it! But if you want a coffee with your meal, they won't let you...

Is there a St Ali in Japan? Or you mean that crazy drip contraption? I still like my coffee espresso old school style. Italy had pretty bad coffee in general too though, Melbs still the best in the world I reckon.
