I would back Timmy in above Hird, if only on the basis that whilst we would both get pantsed, Timmy wouldn't be looking at my arse and getting ideas.

I'm reminded of rats on a sinking ship, Hird is that rat, he's getting out whilst he think the getting is good probably on advice that WADA or Workcover is going to ream some people there and hard, and he might as well sever ties and go pro bono in defending his definition of the word "integrity" namely what he snorted last night at about 3am whilst watching his highlights video.

I hope, at the end of their AFL lives, the players sue the $%%#@ bejesus out of Essendon and Little gnaws at their ankles as he reverts to his pitbull ways of blaming everyone else for them screwing up so horribly.

One camp says sacked, one camp says tended resignation, truth as far as my opinion goes, is smack dab in the middle that the board pretty much fired him as Hird walked in to tell them he was tending his resignation. It'd be a late thing, but you don't sit through a year and a bit of "the club want to sack you" if you don't plan to see out your contract and tell the club to STFU, this was an agreed outcome by both parties.
