What the hell is that indigenous jumper?? Looks like a fan made creation with zero control by anyone at the club.
And the club may as well be the Dogs given how much white they chose to use.

Also, changing the name of the club, even for one round, seems sacraligious to me, all as part of ridiculous tokenism. (only the name change, the use of aboriginal art on our ever changing jumper is a great idea)

its very busy. apart from the hands I dont hate it.

Snipping the sleeves off will help, but it's clearly a case of all ideas, no control or oversight..
I'm sure it tells a story and all that, but why can't it be done in a more controlled manner?

Eagle. Bunjil is a wedgie.

Would have preferred an anchor so we could run out to the dockers song, hey Topkent

Im sure anchor's played a significant part in dream time too. Disappointing.

No issues with the story, but the designer really should have been paired up with a graphic designer or someone to have some form of control over the design.

It's a shitshow compared to all previous years tbh

Agree the jumper is busy. Reckon the artist had five good ideas there and couldn't pick one. I like the 'devil' snake on the back. That would have made for a good sole stimulus in its own right.

Overall it's fine, doesn't really bother me since it's a one off. I think last years is the best looking indigenous jumper we've ever had.

Anyone think though we've broken our membership record, part of the reason we're not getting bigger crowds is to do with the scheduling? Obviously COVID and the like is still impacting things but so far for our home matches we've had:
  • Western Bulldogs on a Wednesday night. 58,002. This was always going to be underwhelming against what the AFL and the club would've wanted.
  • Essendon on a Friday night. No complaints for schedule but 44,503 is a low number against that opposition.
  • Greater Western Sydney. 20,791. Will always be lower with GWS but a Saturday night over the first long weekend with no restrictions. I think quite a few people will have gone away at the opportunity.
  • Hawthorn: Good scheduling but 39,425 is very average again.
And coming up, in a clash with a current top 4 team (a combined 12-2 record) we're playing on Mother's Day which will be underwhelming again.

Would've just really enjoyed some big crowds at games while we're the clear best team in the league.
