Round 18 at Etihad ... Will likely decide who gets the #1 pick ... so they might not want to win it to be fair.

They have also come close to a few teams meanwhile, nearly gave both GWS and Geelong a scare before fading out in the last qrt in both games.
Well I'll cross my fingers for them to get up because I hate that we're the only team they've beaten.

Close enough isn't good enough Count!! It's just a win (or 2) that every other club will chalk up - except us :(

To be fair they were in front against Geelong in the 3rd quarter against them aswell and Geelong are a way better team than us

We are a much different side to the round 2 one aswell, I honestly think that adelaide game was a step forward
Agree, there was a bit to like about the Adelaide game.
I'd like to think that we would have Freo covered and the lads would be fairly keen for another win.

The Cat's record against shit teams isn't exactly stellar. We might be shit enough to beat them?

It will all depend on the ladder position won't it?
If they need a win for top 4 then I can't see it happening but if they already have say top spot in the bag then I wouldn't be surprised

Afl.com.au says we are in the marker for a back up ruck
Of all the ones on the market or available I'd be looking at Nathan Vardy from the cat, kid can take a mark and with his injury history can come cheap aswell
Has played 25 games in 7 years which sounds pathetic but big Maxy had only played 30 until this year In the same time frame

WTF is wrong with the muss? He's killing it at VFL level. He's not going to replace Gawn but he's more than serviceable for a back up.

Didn't say we were looking to offload one, I'd assume we are after someone who can play on the same team as Gawn as the forward ruck

Interesting you say that. Bulldogs mate of mine says that on the Bulldogs board some guys reckon Todd Viney was down at the VFL the other day taking notes on Tom Campbell

Id be very happy with Campbell aswell, he is a very underrated ruck

Not great but surely not that important an attribute in a backup ruck?
Forward/ruck role it's pretty important

Yeah fair enough. Field kicking and goal kicking are a bit different though I reckon. If we're plonking him in the F50 and telling him to kick a few from 30m out I'd back us to be able to teach him a solid routine

Can't kick to save himself

He can take a very good pluck, can't say I've noticed his kicking either way but Gawn was probably the worst kick ever in his first couple years and he is almost reliable these days

More an issue of growing into his own body for Gawn.
