Thanks for the info, although a link of some sort of some confirmation from others about what was said would be terrific. We hear so much around here that we almost need some proof these days!

We know that he will keep on fighting right till the end, and now will be no different. He's always in our thoughts!

Andrew D didn't look confident when asked on 'on the couch' **** it why does cancer strike down the good ones of this world:thumbsd:
Keep fighting Jim you are a legend

Grew up with Jimmy as my favorite player- wanted to emulate him, but unfortunately stopped growing at 6ft..

This is back at the age where you don't understand all the other stuff he did/does, but rather he's your role model for being a good and fair player.

Thankfully i am fortunate enought to never have had to use the Reach program, but I know that those who did ALL talk about him in a light you hear very few others talked about. Anywhere in the world.

Didn't want to post this on the main board, as like clockwork, out come the insensitive trolls. Well not trolls, as I don't believe they are winding people up, but rather they don't have a common level of compassion and sensitivity that the vast majority of the population share. These are the people I truly feel sorry for.

I'm not one for praying for him to get over this hurdle, as I believe that it is entirely up to the amount of fight, and inevitably fate, that decides these things.

But if there was ever anyone who could stand up to death, stare it in the eye, and say "not yet mate", it would be this man.

And while I may not be one to pray for Jimmy, I sure as hell go to sleep tonight in hope that I wake up to anything but the worst of news.

The greatest footy story the game has ever seen, come on Jimmy, keep going mate, keep going.

Posting the picture of Matthew Woneaemirri and Jim Stynes may break my heart if I did it, but to think of what that photo means these days.

I hope the club, including Garry, have the strength to keep us together whatever happens and look after his family, and Jim himself.

RIP Jimmy. You were an absolute champ and did so much for many, without expecting anything in return. You will be missed
