Gday all there was something on here during trade week last year with a site you can use to get around the media newspaper pay walls. I’ve searched high and low through the threads but can not find it. Can someone please enlighten me pleeeeeaaaassseeee !!

It works if you remove the first part before the second www. For example, the URL below was the result of a Google search I just did. If you copy and paste the whole URL below, it will be paywalled. If you only c+p the bold part of the URL into Outline, it should work. I've found this trick applies to all Murdoch URLs:

that only works sporadically. Its actually an outline thing, they've stopped support for paywall protected websites when those sites complain as it was designed to strip other items away to make reading easier, not get around paywalls.

Ok team, here is how to do it - and this method is perfectly legitimate.

- First google the article and right click and copy the link to the new article of interest

-Then go to bitly.com, paste the link in the text box where it says "shorten your link" and click Shorten

-This should display a shortened link - such as https://ab.co/2YGpHIK
(Make sure you select that whole link and right click and copy the link)

-then into your web browser type http://outline.com/<bitly link> - so it should look like http://outline.com/https://ab.co/2YGpHIK
and press Enter
