Roast Getting Destroyed on the OverLap

Been talking to mates who seen this and I have noticed this to.

When team handball against us there is always someone loss men behind them because his man has to come up and take the Man with the Ball.

Seen it all year and can we fix this problem?

Well Buckley refuses to play man on man so it will always hurt us.. opposition go right through "our zoning" right through the centre square.. the fact that we watch the same thing happen every week just shows how buckley really doesn't change or adapt his gameplan or that he has improved as a coach in the last 12 months

Man on man you get destroyed even more.
Our issue there is having too many players that like to be at the foot of the drop of the ball and don't play "cheat" footy enough by hanging off the packs and out wide. This is why Clinton Young was recruited we need more of those types funnily enough

well let me pull you up there, Buckley is very willing to move players and try things within game. This crap about "no gameplan" is just stupid. Losing doesn't mean you don't have one, it means you don't have the players to execute it on any given day.

So glad you started this thread TD! I said this during the match thread of Collingwood v Port. Even though we won, the amount of times we got burnt on the overlap was uncountable.

So much this. Our problem isn't contested ball. It is that 4/5 players are sucked into the contest, so either we get it and have to rush it on the boot, or the opposition get away with time and space. We are also very bad at simple things like 1 up 1 down in contests.

We where very lucky vs Port. If the team was no sick then we would of Lost that game.

It been happening way before the Port Game
