Interesting twist - clubs only need to draft one player this year. Pick 51 could actually improve if enough clubs only take 1 or 2 players.

20 will slide to 24 or 25

The 2 Rf2 depend on ESS and GWS next year. .. but one would think a non finals year would see us reap picks around 25-28

May as well keep him seeing the Saint's are paying most of his wages. If he turns it around in the VFL and earns his spot so be it.
Bring in one player in the this draft and load up for next year.

For all those thinking there will be a heap of guys not drafted this year that will be around in 2021 National Draft, think again. AFL planning to have 3 or 4 mid season drafts next year where you will see most of those snapped up. Most clubs are expected to leave list spots available until these drafts, which will give their recruiting teams more of a chance to analyse the talent in the early games if next season.

We would have been better off going after Philips instead of Smith!

Age wise maybe, but was reported to be on about $600k next year which is why Collingwood was happy to offload him cheaply in terms of draft picks - Hawthorn were trying to renegotiate his contract so they could even out the hit to their salary

Doubtful Smith's salary is close to that

Yeh difference is they will be bottom four. Probably closer to Crouch situation than Cameron.

It sounds great for them getting 3 first rounders. But in total it’s a really good deal for us. We get Cameron and will have a great draft hand next year in a much better draft.

Which is half the trade.. BIG WIN WELL DONE GIANTS . BEAT THOSE PUSSY'S ... etc etc..

then sometime in the future they will sit down and look at the total trade.. probably those who are more draft focused and they will wonder how come geelong have such a good hand again.

If we happen to lose a player or two next year... Menegola is a FA. then it opens up a range of possabilities
