If Grigg and Lappin are development, still need line coachesGoing to be very disappointed when the change of assistant coaches is that they are replaced by people already at the club.

Lappin, Grigg and O’breeWhom will that be?
Hocking & Lloyd?
Either assistants all walked or were pushed - both not great, fresh ideas needed but this is an exodus or clean out.
Something makes me feel Scotty is being told he has to accept entering his last year without an extension
I hope scotty can be supported to be the Geelong person he claims to be and pass the Batton -
Radio silence could be Yze or Giansiracusa both assistants in granny- being selected as in coming coach with a transition year with Scotty-
At least I ******* hope so
We can’t extend Scotty over the summer- we can let him fight for his job in his last year and we can explore late next year but fu** me let’s have some bravery and put the club first
If Scott loves Geelong he will be willing to do either of the above and it’s his choice

Another misfits quote in the farewell. I wonder if you actually got drafted to the club as a defender you couldn’t qualify as a misfit??
i dont think he's sh*t by foot...
I think he makes poor kicks when he's not going thru his action or kicking sideways off one step. Add to that the biting off more than he can chew with some of the decisions hes made, or been forced to make... and it leads to things like this.
Can also add PFD, Sel, Stewy. Bews, Domsy, HT and Josh Hunt to this list to name a few.
GO CAtters
A champion like Sel deserves to get both the 350 and captaincy record and also the chance to evolve his game from pure mid to a different position and see if it can work.
The club isn't ruined. Selwood held his own in 2021, and if he can do that in 2022 he deserves to be considered. I don't think he clogged the list at all in 2021
People were saying getting rid of Chappie, SJ, and others before they were finished ruined the club
One thing I'm hoping is that with both Scarlett & Enright gone is that it will also mean the end of the misfits & wolfpack - while I'm sure it started as something for a bit of fun, I can also see that sort of thing creating cliques & the potential to cause some friction if you're new to the club and not really part of any such groupPersonally I'd love it if we never heard about any nickname the players give themselves ever again.
He was the only one making an effort during the PF to be fair. Ideally you would bring him on for either the first 5 mins or the last 5 mins of a quarter because he still gets in hard and makes good decisions. The issue is he can't do it for 80% of the game any more.No he doesn't. No one does. The club comes first. If he isn't up to playing at the level anymore - and the warning signs were screaming during the Prelim - then he club needs to make hard calls.

Petracca made him look like a witches hat and its not the only time it happened this year, I love Joel but his days as a starting mid need to be over.He was the only one making an effort during the PF to be fair. 'Cooked' Selwood was better or as good as many of his younger teammates. He can barely run in the middle he would also be exposed in the forwards espically with his kicking these days
when a player is cooked he’s cooked

Looks about right but can we add Cameron to the trade table too? Too old. Too injury prone. The line-up wanted by some posters
O'Connor SDK Clark
Stewart Kreuger Henry
Holmes Constable Simpson
Miers Ratagolea Close
Evans Cameron Narkle
Tsapo Parfitt Stephens
I/C Stevens Neale Brander Brownless
Em Knevitt, Gribble, Rachelle
Kolo, Blicavs, Bews, Zuthrie on the trade table
Selwood, Hawkins, Tuohy, Smith, Dahlhaus, Duncan, Guthrie, Menegola, Henderson, Higgins, Fort, Stanley, Rohan to the knackery.
Temporary loyalty is Harsh lol
Lets not get caught up in disposals as we are a high ranking team in that area, Joel is good in close hence the tackles and stoppages but again the percentage attended to actually what he extracted would be interesting, the game has opened up a lot more and that's where Joel gets exposed so unless we have the game on our terms, teams will target Joel's weak points even more so next year, but Joel has signed a 1 year deal so we need to mitigate the damage the opposition do exploiting Joel.'Cooked' Selwood was better or as good as many of his younger teammates.
23.19 to 23.00 disposals per game separates Dangerfield, Menegola and Selwood. From midfielders only Guthrie (29) and Duncan (24.2) were better than those 3.
More tackles than Selwood (113)... Parfitt (128).
More inside 50s than Selwood (89)... Smith (98).
More clearances than Selwood (127)... No one. (Dangerfield on a per game basis was though).
Frees for... Who am I kidding with that one![]()
More contested possessions than Selwood... No one. (Dangerfield on a per game basis was though).
While I agree he was poor come finals time I think the focus should be on the rest of the group of mids. Our 33yo captain running on fumes is still outperforming the pack. Is it any wonder our midfield is largely why we lose finals matches lately. Go to water.
There was meant to be a transition with Kelly, Parfitt, Narkle, Constable, Stephens. That hasn't happened.
One has flown the coop and gone home.
Narkle and Constable have been shopped elsewhere and no one has wanted them. 50/50 either will make it in the AFL.
Stephens has been injured a lot in 2 years.
Parfitt is just plain average at best. 5 years in and still not hitting 20 touches a game. (Our cooked skipper still hit 23 this year remember. Danger and Duncan with injury interrupted years did so as well). No idea why anyone here rates Parfitt tbh.
Joel to continue as captain next season IMO. If he's cooked then someone should be able to displace him, but our sad bunch don't seem capable. Glad Knights is gone too btw. Some midfield coach![]()
Wasn't Stephens drafted after we'd already traded Kelly? I rate Parfitt highly. You only need to look at how we missed him in the PF. Tackles strong and shows some great skills in close.'Cooked' Selwood was better or as good as many of his younger teammates.

Personally I'd love it if we never heard about any nickname the players give themselves ever again.
I would say trading Jeremy Cameron is only possible at the end of 2022, if we are clearly out of contention next year. Essendon might give us pick 11 to 14 for him. Even then, I would rather trade somebody else if we go full , hard rebuild at end of 2022.Looks about right but can we add Cameron to the trade table too? Too old. Too injury prone.
Was her name Chanelle?Scarlett reminds me of that 15 year old “mean girl” private school girl who has her little band of supporters and alienates the rest. If you dare challenge her, you are on the outer. Pathetic.
Ok, no worries Darty.I would say trading Jeremy Cameron is only possible at the end of 2022, if we are clearly out of contention next year. Essendon might give us pick 11 to 14 for him. Even then, I would rather trade somebody else if we go full , hard rebuild at end of 2022.
Good luck next year!Oh man, don’t start that mystery mid crap again. That was seriously one of the stupidest on going things on this board, ever.Who is the mystery mid this year?
If I was guessing, probably some young kid from the draft no one knows of! That sounds like a Wells special.
I think Jeremy Sharp for Suns will be a gun. I'm still a bit annoyed we didn't get him.
