I hope we ask about Max Lynch in the Kreuger dealings.

Me too offer them 52 and kreuger (they need points) although the key is getting lynch to want to come.

Agreed. I think if kreuger wants to be a defender he should stay as we will give him games..if he wants to be a forward then coll can give him more opportunities than us. Brander would be a nice get if he is cheap he offers positional versatility.

We tried to turn Kreuger into a defender not because he wasn't any good as a forward but because we didn't have any room for him in the forward line. Which is probably the worst reason to do that, so I can fully understand why he wants to leave.

Why would we need to offer that much. Not even the most die hard Coll fans are asking for that much. Plus he is uncontracted after years in the system.

He’s going to Haw anyway the grapevine is saying. Stanley just got two years in the hope that either Neale or Tsp will be ready in year 4 to carry the lid as the number 1.

Steve King will leave to GC after the GF.

He could of help us..

External factors seemed to have played a role in the move to the GC with him & his wife expecting another baby and they have family up in Qld

Has Stanley officially signed the extension because i know it's been reported we've offered 2 years but haven't seen anything to confirm it's been accepted

And while we may not need to offer that much to Collingwood, we could try to get something else back from them in the form a future pick but they need the points for this years draft - may be a bit of give & take to get a deal done

It’s a shame, but he is never getting in front of Cameron and Hawkins in 2022.
put him in front of Rohan...

I know he's taller and not as fast... but for the love of god... give him a chance.

Can't see much defensive pressure coming from Freddie.
id still try it...

hate to lose him for a pack of chips..... too much potential there IMO

But not sure we get enough from Ratugolea when he's playing up forward or in the ruck - think they've got to work out where they see him long term and really develop him in that role

Would be curious to see how we'd go if we gave SDK a run at FB, Kreuger as the third tall up forward and Blicavs as a floating utility between defence and ruck
Spot on Cats 09.. The only good thing about Esava he his a back up ruck, and I mean back up he gives the main ruck a spell...
Looking into next year , we have a few questions with this all.
1 Where does Blitz play? Does he play as a general around the ground and play as the back up Ruck?

2 Esava, he really needs to take the step up next year, he will be 24 and sooner or later the word potential has to finally has to stop being used and he has to step up?

3 Kreuger or Brander ( if we get him as we likely loose Kreuger )
If we play 1 of them, does that mean Esava doesn't play, and Blitz plays as the back up ruck and we play SDK in defence?

Myself I'd go 3, but I think Chris Scott will go with 2 in playing Esava... I just hope Esava finally comes and show us what we're all hoping.... As we have to remember he is 24 next year and there is no more excuses

He could have played some games last year instead of using Rohan/Danger as key forward and Cameron missed 10 games this year. We should have kept developing him as a forward. Not like Hawkins has that long left and not like Ratugolea was shooting the lights out.

Agreed..unless we can get a R1 for clark (which wr wont) id hold him as he has real talent. The issue is how determined he is to move and whether he threatens to sit the year out if we dont trade him. If he is willing to play for us id keep him.
He won't sit the year out. He's missed enough footy with Scarlo and Covid.

We keep hearing that Ratugolea is seen as heir apparent to Hawkins, but not sure we've seen anywhere near enough to suggest he's close to holding down the #1 forward role

If it's a case that they do see him stepping into that role in a year or 2, then I'd prefer to see them play him in that role in the VFL to see how he goes as the focal point up forward and if he can carry the attack

From descriptions of Brander (utility type but not a key position) with no stand out attribute - think he’d be behind Zuthrie, who has improved significantly, has nouce and play reading and is on verge of best 22.

Yes & no

When Cameron was out at the start of the year so was Kreuger who was battling a knee injury, and Cameron had been back in the seniors for a month before Freddie played his first VFL match for the season

When Cameron then went down midway through the season, Kreuger was out with his own back injury. He did return to the VFL a week after Cameron sustained the injury, but looks like they (coaches) wanted Kreuger to show he could back it up across consecutive weeks at VFL level before selecting him for the seniors
