And who could those players we are actually are trying to get this year... usually by now you hear players names you here we been linked to half way through the season but I haven't herd of any yet
No idea but in the past it’s been closer to trade period when talk has ramped up.
We had no idea Isaac Smith would come to us and have tried for Higgins for years with no luck, then this year it happened.
Why aren’t we having a crack at getting TDK? Carl are sh*t. He’d have a better career with us.
We tried, they told us to go away

As of the bye round, Narkle has played 6 games that range in form from:
- was he subbed out against St Kilda because he was virtually invisible after half time
- to being not bad against Sydney
- a really good, solid performance against Richmond as the sub
- then a career best performance against GC which he backed up against Collingwood

So yes he's very recent form has been very good, but don't think we can say that for all games this season

The challenge for him now to maintain his impact from the past 2 weeks as we see others return to the midfield - Guthrie, Duncan, Blicavs and Dangerfield.

How hungry will he be when those guys are back in the side and what impact will he have, or will we see some indifferent performances? The rest of the season isn't about him getting 25-30+ disposals each match, but impacting matches when he has a chance and not fading away like we saw against St Kilda

If he can keep impacting matches, then we can start to look at what he's longer term value to the team may be
Yes. The hard part is that with all these midfielders coming back into the team, there's no certainty he will be given the opportunity to play the same role in the team. Like you say, it won't be about racking up possessions but impacting games through 4 quarters maybe from half forward and spurts on the ball? Simpson was a good example of this last year. I would hate to see a player like Narkle leave. I see him as a potential future leader.

Lol. The same types are the ones who melt cos of where certain players are named on a Thursday night. They look at his under 18’s footy and think that gives them the answers for 5 years later. Watch his vfl footy. Watch the groups SDM trains in. He’s being taught to be a ruckman. Ask people inside footy and they’ll tell you, SDK’s agility, the fact hes elite below his knees for a man of his size, his vertical leap and size. He’s being groomed as a 10 year ruckman. And honestly, it’s a little the same as Blicavs. We ALL know he’s an AA defender, but guess where they play him ? Because as a ruckman, he gives the side far more. Same theory with SDK. But yep. The know it all’s will argue because of where he played his junior footy.
Is this a joke? SDK is a slightly better than average athlete. It is his reading of the play that set him apart at U18 level. In fact, he is average below his knees and dominant in the air. Why the need for the hyperbole

If we have the cash we should offer Dekoning from Carlton a offer he can refuse and that Carlton can’t match.
Already have a tight cap with 2 key signings to come

Im pretty sure he is contracted though. They said no last year and probably will do so again.

Blue: Geelong average list age 25.4 oldest
Red: Melbourne average list age 24.6 6th oldest
Yellow: St Kilda average list age 25.2 2nd oldest

I've spent a while thinking about my take a ways from this graph but all I can get are:

0) Who cares about list ages when you're good
1) St Kilda must burning a lot of cash on older player who aren't getting playing at AFL level
2) Average list age alone is a poor indicator of anything related to a lists demographic health

How come AFL.com.au had St Kilda oldest at the start of the season?
