I wouldn't take JUH in for free, for what it's worth. If the Dogs still want rid of a talent like that by year's end, he is not worth picking up.

Good to tie them down officially but ultimately SDK would be the only one up in the air for us this year.

Reckon it’ll tie him over until free agency and then he’ll reassess

Yeah, I’m well aware having been part of football clubs myself. Never alluded to all 40 having to be best mates. Bit of mansplaining in there… alas, my response was to a direct question about the relationship of an exact two who played together… of course if we are chasing Bont we are to hope his ex-teammate is someone who was in his inner sanctum and May persuade him. Opposed to someone he is at best, indifferent to. And furthermore, relationships within clubs have pushed players out on so many occasions that it feels silly to start listing them off. So while your argument about all 40 players not needing to be friends is valid, it doesn’t bear any relevancy to my original point.

In a place where nobody knows anyone else's gender, the term "mansplaining" is a bit silly.

So serious or not about SDK…hard to tell. In the end the player will make his choice.

Yeah, one of the great bullshit lies about footy clubs is that it's "you and 21 of your best mates". Same as anywhere else - you have one or two excellent friends if you're lucky, 10 blokes you get on well with, 8 or 9 who are a bit meh but you make it work, and one you wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.

Absolutely we should try lure JUH. I’d back ourselves to turn him around.

Given our ladder position each year there’s just no way we ever get access to top talent, especially kpf top talent. We have to trade for them. In this instance I doubt JUH would cost us 3 x first rounders given the situation.

Jezza is entering the twilight (and more like a roaming flanker anyway) so yes, we should absolutely we should try to lure him and back our system to turn him around.

Yeah i reckon Cats know he's got too much going on outside football to go there.

Reckon our targets will be mids, not forwards. We are stacked up forward.

Rowell and Butters as the most likely targets.
Reid as a fantasy dream scenario.

Apparently Rowell is holding off to see how GC go, it's defintely more in play than what he has made it out to be.

He had meetings over the offseason and according to local ITK mate (for what that is worth) was leaning 70-30 towards going back to Victoria. He and his agent met with Geelong, Collingwood, Dons and Doggies.

As Dimma and the club have sat down and addressed it with him closer to the start of the season he's now more on the 50-50 basis.
Would need to speak to my guy again to see if he can get more info on it but for now don't write it off.

Cats are absolutely up to the eyeballs with a few blokes.

I knew Tim was always happy at the Cats, it's the misso who struggled with the children who have disabilities.
Cats did everything to keep her happy and she was still discontent.

Reid is a watch for me this season - you can't rely on rumours but there was enough in the off season to warrant a few questions.
Yesterday he was very poor , wanted to fight rather than play and was allergic to running to cover his opponent.
On the other hand Rowell was electrifying.
It's early and a sample of only one game but we would be wise to see how his season progresses before we decide ( if any) who we target.
