Im late to the mail here. Is this true? Cause its a massive thing if Peter did.

It started as a comment on trade radio yesterday, and while there's some discussion as to did he "storm" out, leave on an orderly fashion or simply need to make use of the facilities, there's been comments from others confirming he did leave halfway through the nights proceedings

There's also a few folks commenting that they aren't surprised based on known history, and that Peter is basically the opposite of Marcus Ashcroft who is trying to keep a low profile when it comes to his children's careers, whereas Peter may want to retain some of the attention

It may be a case of 2 + 2 = 5 in regards to Nick wanting out of Collingwood, but it gives people something to talk about

Don't forget the huge contract for Kosi, 8/9 years and well over a million a year for a bloke who perhaps is a better version that Tyson Stengle, but not really a foundation building block of most sides, like a dominant KPF or anything, nor a Judd/peak Petracca midfielder.
Whilst I agree that is an insane contract, I think you are selling Kosi a long way short. He is an elite player. He would be amazing at Geelong.

Id like to throw my hat in the ring for an ITK status, I'm hearing from my guys on the inside that we're 99% getting a guy whose name rhymes with flutters can't say more iykyk. Also let's just say Reid isn't off the table and Mackie is asking the question. We're also all in on Daicos, we're pretty confident we can land all of Reid, Flutters, Diacos, Curnow, and Marshall, we might have to give up some quality players in Martin and prepared to be staggered Worpel, I know we just got him but I hear he was tapped on the shoulder after he walked into the club sideways. Watch this space.

This actually checks out with Corrections Victoria - your guys are on the inside.

Charlie has done no such thing.

Nor have Carlton expressed any wish for small forward goalkickers that you keep claiming is what they want for Curnow. Giving up a 2-time Coleman Medallist KPF for a small forward makes absolutely zero sense.

Neither of these things are true. :)

Well you clearly have never met our personal “ITK” Jumping Jack
The man is basically always on the money. Not like some of the haters on here who trash someone who spends a long ass time giving up great credible information.
Trust me, I’ve checked with my sources and his sources are spot on the money.

I bet you could drag up his past postings, make a “true” or “false” list on his claims and I’d say majority of it would lean correct.
If the man says he has sources, he has sources.

Who are you to discredit him? BrisbumCFC

Daicos will end up at Tasmania. His story arc has a lot of Gary Ablett about it.

The son of a club legend. Won a premiership. Brownlow obsession. Best and fairest grievances. Coach frustrations.

New club enters the scene with huge money just as it appears current side about to fall over (incorrect in Gary’s case as it turned out).

I can see him taking the 2m sign on bonus.

There was also a first hand account from Tom Morris who was at the event and saw it (yeah, I know...)

Could be pretty solid numbers out there in the hoops next year for those who delight in derision of our own.

Given Rhys, the #4, Knev, Bowes, Jyhe, DK, Marto, 'Special Sauce', Ollie H., and even Blitz still cop routine and ritual whackings from some on here, there surely won't be any lack of opportunity to diss some of our own players at the first sign of trouble. And that's before you add the inevitable crustacean comparisons that will go with the arrival of Worpel as well.

Happy days.

Who is ‘Special Sauce’?

Can't help but think we dodged a bullet with Oliver.
I don’t think we dodged a bullet
He has every right to be pissed off at Melbourne
Silently told him to explore a trade for 2 years prior, then Melbourne knocked it back
Then they come out publicly and tell him to look elsewhere and they will even pay 700k of his contract
Id be pissed too

I don't doubt for a second that his preference is to head down to Geelong. Contracted players don't really nominate any club unless a deal is essentially already given the ok to happen. They don't nominate a club unless they know they can get there. RE Marshall.

As far as Charlie getting to Geelong, its absolutely long odds to eventuate. You simply don't have the assets in picks, nor will you trade any 'A' grade players. Contracted KPF Coleman medallists dont come cheap.
I think that's all reasonable to suggest, although using language like "you don't have the assets in picks, nor will you trade any players" is a bit of a stretch.

We have picks / including future picks and it really just comes down to where and how we use them. Marshall is clearly the priority as stated by Mackie himself. Curnow, also clearly a player the Cats rate highly, and they appreciate the challenge in getting that deal done. But don't automatically assume Geelong don't have picks / nor are they prepared to trade players.

When interviewed yesterday, Mackie stated that no players had stepped forward as yet and asked to be traded. Don't misinterpret that as the club not sitting down with a contracted player (if required) and having a discussion about a potential trade. For Curnow to get to Geelong you'd imagine that a player will be involved. We've got a 10 day window and lot's can happen in that period - and most likely will.

Everything points to the Marshall deal being done. Curnow will be tougher but Geelong are clearly a motivated buyer. If there was no interest then the club would have shut it down straight away.

Thanks for saying that.

As I've said previously, I don't lose too much sleep over what stuff eventuates and what doesn't. That's not really the reason I post. I just share what I'm told (and there's obviously some stuff I can't). Whether it turns out to be correct or not is not really the point as I see it.

Seems a bit weird that some posters have this expectation of posters that you only post something if it's signed sealed and delivered. Kind of counter intuitive to the whole premise of a draft / trading / rumour forum I would have thought
