Agree. He struck me as sullen or moody. If correct he may have pissed the boys' club off or somesuch.
iirc he leads Geelong for least kicks per handball ever. (1 kick for every 3.5 handballs or something)As far as I can tell his biggest crime was wearing sunglasses during the 07 grand final
I thought that we were using that draft pick for the AFLW, and we were looking to draft Barbara Feldon.Just wait until you see who we draft with pick #99

I'll win the lotto before this kid swings onto his right side... and I don't buy a ticket.
No, Lana - that's 1k for every 8ball.That gets you eight years in Barwon Prison! doesn't sound fair to me
When our biggest weakness is our midfield, it makes sense to give cam guthrie another roll of the dice… who will he be holding back??Bews get… Guthrie.. I just can’t see it.. 3 years no games and can’t get on the track rally let alone game conditions.
I’m all for. Giving him his chances.. and Josh Cowan got 7 years on the list.. but maybe if wants a rookie spot?
Go Catters
I'm looking forward to us taking our picks to the draft. I think the draft is strong in the 20-40 range where our first two picks will fall. The talk of this being a week draft is driven by academy picks poking the eyes out of the top 10, which doesn't effect us. In a clean draft they weren't lasting to 20 anyway.
We're going to end up with our first 2 picks being very close together too.
The new points system means all the teams with academy prospects are going to need picks in the 20s and 30s to give enough points to match.
We could end up with picks 25 and 30 or something like that.
Add Oskar Taylor to the list of players that might be worth watching.
in the roughStevens, Knevitt and Clark all showed good enough form in the VFL to be given more AFL games than they actually were - just that our team was winning too much to drop anyone. When our biggest weakness is our midfield, it makes sense to give cam guthrie another roll of the dice… who will he be holding back??
....And not a very good one.... or we bite the bullet and remember that we recruited Neale as a ruckman.
He's who I'm expecting we pick up tbh.
I doubt any of the gun mids will be available at our pick, and we'll be in line for the second stringers (whoever the Lang, Stephens, Brodie Kemp types of this draft are).
Pick up a half back flanker with pace and precision ball use, train him up to be ready to go by 2027 to somewhat succeed Stewart, and hopefully we've picked up our A-grade mid in trade/FA.
We don't lack midfield depth. When our biggest weakness is our midfield, it makes sense to give cam guthrie another roll of the dice… who will he be holding back??
He is an area of dire need, and if he can get fit will be a huge asset. Big mature body to throw into the midfield rotations.
If he can have a big summer.. who knows.
What was the end of year status on his injury?? Was he officially recovered??
Maybe he is roaring to go rnd 1 and to dive into a big pre season
I disagree it isn’t a weakness, we just have an elite coach who was able to paper over deficiencies to the point of almost snatching the flag.We don't lack midfield depth.
Our midfield isn't a weakness against most of the league, it's a weakness against the team we need to beat to win the thing: Brisbane.
A crippled Cam doesn't help that after 3 years out of the game. We don't need another support cast member, we need an A-grader to join Smith and Holmes to beat Brisbane, and probably Gold Coast.
We've said the same thing you're saying now for three off-seasons. At some point enough is enough. At least Menzel was a kid. This bloke is turning 34.
Plus, we need to delist some names even if we want to only take the token 3 picks. It's over.
Is that Brayden crossley??Let’s get the Southport ruckman
Love those highlights but I don't reckon he'll be at our pick there
Bailey Smith had the exact same option too, and chose usHe’s not interested in going to the team he will get more money at and grew up supporting in the Dogs?
I'd be delighted to get Sam at the Cats, but I think he'll go before we get a pick. Will go in top 5-10 picks.

Barring the greatest injury crisis the game has ever seen, we will literally never run the set up you're mentioning. It's disingenuous to ask that question.I disagree it isn’t a weakness, we just have an elite coach who was able to paper over deficiencies to the point of almost snatching the flag.
We have two A grade mids, in holmes and smith.. both outside players as well.
After that it is very thin and all role players or C-B graders.
We don’t have many players who can genuinely rotate thru there either and do a quality job.
Do you honestly feel comfortable seeing a midfield setup of knevitt, Clark, mullin, Stanley???
We run very thin and fast in our midfield rotations compared to a lot of other sides.
assume you mean potential to be better than this current version of Trac?Anybody heard of Sullivan Robey? Eastern Ranges. Came from nowhere. Big call, but better than Petracca from my vision. mWill now go top 10 unfortunately. Ready to play accumulator and match winner
Good point. The forgotten Ollie.Yes, at that exact moment. It has "break glass in case of emergency vibes", I admit.
I, on the other hand, have an instinct based on the years of watching that he'll never quite be that forward. Or, more importantly, he could be a serious weapon working as a 60/40 split duties.
But I'm also in the camp that is far more forgiving of OHenry and would like to see what can happen when they're not always in the same space.
