This time last year, Grockadoc was watching the SFA from his living room couch. However, now, the 198 centimeter, 97 kilogram 19 year old was picked up by the Mount Buller Demons and played under 5 games for them, which produced one goal. He was dumped by the Demons after family commitments interfered with his training and questions were asked about his enthusiasm and determination to play the game.

Now, Four months on and Grockadoc is now residing on the list of 2009 SFA Premiers The Fighting Furies after Grockadoc spoke to Fighting Furies' PHX. We caught up with Grockadoc to get his thoughts.

"I just expressed interest in joining the Furies to PHX, who was looking for new recruits. PHX, after a thorough interview thought that i was a good prospect player for the Furies. I was happy to be drafted to the Demons, don't get me wrong, but i've always had a soft spot for the Furies, and to get to pull on the #38 Guernsey for them, this may sound a bit corny, but it is a dream come true. Some have doubted my fitness and commitment but i've been training really hard after i was released from the Demons and now hopefully that shows whenever i step onto the park, be it in the forward fifty or in the ruck."

"Now that i have been given this second chance, i do not intend to let this slip through my fingers like i did at the Demons. I've been given a lifeline by the Furies, to which i am grateful, and i hope i can contribute to the team, my teammates and the club everything i have. I want my actions to be remembered on the field, but i also want to know when the time comes for me to retire, that i have not left something unfinished, or unchecked. I want to be remembered not only as a player, but as a person. I am grateful for the Furies for giving me this second chance, as i have said, and i just cant wait to hit up training with the boys and getting onto the ground and hopefully winning a few."
