Glen Mitchell has resigned from the ABC

Anyone know the reason why apart from a rumour about a bustup with Clint Wheeldon? Thought he was a good commentator, much better than Maxwell.

ONE of the ABC's top sports presenters, Glenn Mitchell, has quit the national broadcaster after being involved in a newsroom shouting match with colleague Clint Wheeldon and sending an offensive, late-night email to Wheeldon and his wife

Massive loss for the sport, was/is a fantastic commentator. Loved him on the radio, and was great giving WACA updates during Grandstand. Hopefully he'll keep commentating the sport for someone, unfortunately won't be on ABC

Jim Maxwell has gotten too grumpy the last few years, but Jim and Kerry is often great.

Glenn was alright, but nothing outstanding. Would've been good to have him there longer just so we dont get subjected to Drew Morphett more regularly.

Bugger - glenn is an outstanding person in sport - not just for cricket.

He is also married to Karen Tighe - so that will an interesting workplace for Karen and Clint to be in.

Hopefully someone snags Glenn - and it will be a shame to lose him to cricket

Shouldn't have sent the offensive email. Seems very unprofessional to me. Interesting article mentioned he's offered the resignation several times.

Disappointing as he's a good commentator. Hope Karen tighe stays on
