Does it matter. Will be a rabble, might as well have the arbiter of blame leading the way. He'll need a couple more arms though.
Split the season in 4 and let Goddard, Baguley, Zaharakis and Daniher each have a go at it.
It's going to be a long year for Essendon and either Watson or Heppell will be captain next year so there's no point putting the weight of captaincy on one player.

Worsfold will dong on the boots again and captain coach. Put the house on it.
If Essendon are serious about rebuilding for their future, they will make Zaharakis captain and for good. He's about the only one from that period who has any integrity left. Plus, I like him.

Yep those two are also suitable. I think Zaharakis due to having more experience games wise and having been at the club since 2009. Knows the club, the team, etc.
Who is going to captain is the least of their problems.

Pretty much all the suspended players that haven't already bailed out of Ess will do so by the end of the year. Given they will all be suing the club, none of them will play there again. Very sad.

Zaharakis for captain he's the only one who has shown any leadership and done the right thing (albeit we are lead to believe only because he was afraid of needles)
Maybe if CAS said the players were duped by the club then yes but they wernt.CAS has balamed the players.
The only thing players can sue for is loss of income but the club will pay them.
