News Going Silver ie grey looking in the JLT

Grey is popular because (and when) it can be worn with something else that gives it a bit of 'pop', and precisely because you can wear grey and any other colour together and it still works. That thing is a bland and dreary as an overcast day. It looks like our jumper in greyscale.

The teal we wear has undergone many variations as well. It'll improve over time. The important part is we finally have our long overdue use of silver(grey)

The teal we have worn has only gone thru one official colour variation from PMS 321 to PMS 320 (in 2000) see http://www.cal-print.com/InkColorChart.htm.

The manufacturers and printers of our merchandise are the ones who have made many variations.

Gonna be honest, I actually prefer the 2017 teal guernsey to this one (not the 2016 one, that was awful). It’s very bland.

As far as the teal guernsey goes 2016 was the best one. The 2017 version was a dog’s breakfast with mismatched everything. Teal collar/cuffs but black side panels, black numbers (that you could barely read from a distance) but white 1870 and sponsor logo. Complete shambles that thing.

Yep, I can recall that greenish version of teal that we had some time back which definitely wasn't a good look.

The bluer the better, imho... :-)

First pre season game vs Sydney in 2016 was peak teal... But I reckon reversing the V woulda been better with black on top.

Go into a blokes store. Nearly everything is black, white or a shade of grey. Grey is everywhere and in every bloody thing. Jumpers, suits, jackets, etc apart from B&W I'd stake my life on it being the next most worn colour.

You need your eyes tested

Yeah it was shitting down with rain that day making the teal look darker, plus black shorts, definitely the best they’ve looked. I agree with switching the Vs too and I’d do the same with the silver guernsey (plus black collar/cuffs).

Is there really any such thing as pure black clothing?

Ir are they all in actual fact just a very dark shade of grey?

I think it was Lynx that made a can of spray and it was pure black, like, if you asked how much more black it could get, it would be none more. Vantablack.

We should wear Vantablack technology.

And our heroes are those that've earned the right
To wear the battleship grey, PMS 320 (or possibly 321), and BLACK AND WHITE!

Like it.

I remember reading that silver/grey uniforms or guernseys made it difficult for players to pick out their team mates. I think Man United had one for a while which they did away with for this reason.

It lasted half a game and they changes tops at half time.

Grey has nothing on the white kit Army wore in the Army v Navy College match

I wonder if that's why Freo did away with their green jumper.
