Ill start off with one;

If the AFC makes the finals in 2009 the season can be said to have been a success.

Good Call (considering we've blooded a lot of youth)

Nathan Bock is our most important player.

Mixed call, very important to our defensive structure. But last year when Rutten was injuried we looked alot more vunerable then when Bock has been missing this year.


Despite the lack success with in recruiting with first rounder draft picks, the latter drafting (2004 - 2006) by James Fantasia will be viewed as a sucess in the long term.

I have a feeling that McLeod will hang up the boots come season's end which IMO is very important for our list management.

Bad call – Laurance Angwin was and that why it such a shame he was a nut case. He could have been anything.

Good call - in the past I might have said no in lieu of a place in the midfield, and I still reckon he can play a role there, but with his improved goalkicking accuracy and other youngsters showing something in the clearances (Danger, Vince, etc plus possibly Sloane/Cook/Petrenko in the future) I think he'll be more valuable to us as a forward.

Our second round draft pair in 07-08 (Otten and McKernan) will turn out to be better than our first round draft pair in 07-08 (Dangerfield and Davis)?

Good call - in the past I might have said no in lieu of a place in the midfield, and I still reckon he can play a role there, but with his improved goalkicking accuracy and other youngsters showing something in the clearances (Danger, Vince, etc plus possibly Sloane/Cook/Petrenko in the future) I think he'll be more valuable to us as a forward.

Sellar has to in front of SMACK given he has been on our list longer and both are similar type players. If he is not I fear he is gone.

our stocks look much better right now than they did 3 or 4 months ago with the emergence of Dangerfield at maximum hoped for value.

but Danger & Vince still look to me the only sure fire things in the middle, as game changers. MacKay looks to provide a little class, but where is the speed and run n carry?

Douglas will play 175 - 200 games and be maligned his entire career in the Doughty/Shirley mould.
